We begin with one of the most popular subjects that our Lord desired for His Disciples to be at rest and to relax concerning the problems they are to face when the challenge of their enemies will attack them.
Challenge = try and cause the disciples to focus in on the problems they have with fear, worry, anxiety, and many of the other mental attitude sins (MAS) as well as the sins of the tongue (SOT).
Can you imagine that the next verse will still be around billions and billions of years from this evening.
MAR 10:41 And hearing this, the ten began to feel indignant with James and John.
The Ten disciples or future Apostles, of which there are only nine when this passage was written, 10 being a title like 12 was a title and also the #10 was used sometimes in reference to our Lord’s disciples.
We need to remind ourselves about the motivation that our Lord lived by concerning His family, His people, and His blessings and the promises from God.
Job 23 -- it takes some imagination to appreciate the “Divine Call of God” and “the intimacy that exists” because of God entering Job in the Historical War of the angelic Conflict.
PHI 1:29-30, For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
The oldest book in the Bible -- Job
The main subject which is the Angelic Conflict
The main goal, the glorification of God as Job did.
The attitude of the “Winner Believer.”
After Job lost:
All his sons;
All his daughters;
All his family’s home
All his oxen;
All his sheep;
All his camels;
All his slaves
All the little children.
Lord, what did I do to deserve this?”
”What has happened to make you angry at me, Lord?”
“What should I do to recover from the fall I fell into?”
"Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil;" Job 1:8.
Job is saying; "I'm not letting up‑‑I'm standing my ground.”
“My complaint is legitimate.”
God has no right to treat me like this‑‑ it isn't fair!
“I'd find out exactly what He's thinking, discover what's going on in His head……that’s what Job thinks.
It may not be what you think that you need but I can guarantee you that the Lord knows exactly:
what you need,
when you need it,
where you need it,
and how you need it.
Timing of God = all we have to do is wait upon the Lord for Him to release the many benefits and blessings that we all need to function with in the PPOG and with our personal sense of destiny.
The timing of God is necessary for all of God’s people to wait upon the Lord and His divine blessings,
Job 23:13 "But He is unique [dispensation of the Hypostatic Union] and who can turn Him? And what His soul desires, that He does.
JOB 23:14 "For [and here is 1Th 5:24 of the Old Testament] He performs what is appointed for me, and many such decrees are with Him.
1TH 5:24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
Job 23 = expect to see the Lord to reveal to us some of the principles that are often ignored or rejected because of believers who have no desire to know the real Truth.
They know the truth but do not really care what the Truth is.
They are indifferent and familiar with God’s Truth.
It is Truth that is very vital for all of us to cherish and to honor and to obey.
One of the reasons why it is so important for the Apostles to learn about Truth is that Truth was the main issue when our Lord was sent to Pilate.
Truth is that which God desires for all of us to perceive, metabolize or to apply, depending on the need we have at the moment.
PSA 81:10 "I, the Lord, am your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.
Our Lord is going to make sure that God the Holy Spirit inspires the Apostle John to put down in writing what happened between Pilate and Jesus; Joh 18:28-38.
They will say such things like was is said in Joh 18 where Jesus was before Pilate or Pilate before Jesus.
“This was the time that Jesus had to stand before Pilate to defend Himself.” -- Says the majority of these commentators who have a tendency toward legalism and self-righteousness.
They say --- Jesus had to stand before Pilate, but in reality it was not “Jesus before Pilate” it was “Pilate before Jesus.”
The real phrase says that the first statement is wrong, it was not “Jesus Before Pilate” (as if Pilate is the judge) but “Pilate Before Jesus” because in truth, Jesus is the judge.
Here is a part of the story that a man named Pilate, a tragic self-serving coward who was on trial for his own life and his own career and his own eternal destiny as he stood before Jesus.
“Was it Jesus standing before Pilate” or was it “Pilate standing before Jesus?”
I also have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with such hypocrites just like the ones before us who are still alive right now and still doing what they love to do
”Put down and be critical and judgmental toward others, usually because of jealousy.
Beware and stay away from such pettiness and “petty personal problems” which are always found in “petty personal people.”
Hypocrisy: These religious leaders and haters of the Lord led Him to the Praetorium because they thought it was too early to worship God and they didn’t want to hurt God with their sins and their independence.
Hypocrisy = These religious leaders and their religious followers did not or would not enter into the Praetorium in order that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover in fellowship with the Lord.
Hypocrisy exposes the “Lying Little Losers” or little demons or devils who are continually attacking believers and blinding the unbelievers; 2Co 4:3-4.
In their hypocrisy, they were so concerned about mishandling the protocol of the Passover and they wanted to make sure that they were holy enough to do so.
They had to make sure that they were confessed up to date, and that they have been forgiven of their sins and they wanted to make sure that they were holy and righteous as they try and follow the Law.
“We don’t want to mistreat the lamb in the Passover and ignore the responsibilities we have to treat it with love and respect, especially not doing the right thing in the right way.”
“We don’t want to make the wrong doctrinal application and forget about the small details that we think are so important as we follow the Lord or think that we art.!”
This was the same crowd standing before Him but didn’t even have enough doctrine to recognize that the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world is standing literally inches away from them.
The Lord sent the Apostle Paul who revealed the deceitfulness of Satan and the KOD as he is trying to attack the members of the Royal Family, the church as it exists now, and then the future bride of Christ.
It is the first question in verse 38 that has been a source of comfort for some, hope for others and guilt toward many.
The question came from Pilate and as usual he went right to the heart of the matter……..Pilate said or even asked– “What is Truth?”
Truth is that which our Lord uses to guide us and lead us to the place of fellowship and rest with the Lord; Psa 43:3-4.
One of those lessons is “Never, ever, hit or physically abuse a female, not just a woman, but also a female.
“Bob (Sam), have you ever noticed that the older you get, the smarter I get?”
One of the greatest lessons that he hammered into me was not to be a phony.
You can be a lot of things in life but being a phony is literally being a hypocrite, a liar, a deceiver, or someone who just loves to take advantage of the weaker parties and the arrogant parties.
The Colonel said to get rid of the individual that I thought was a friend before he conspires against me like Korah, Datham and Abiram did against Moses.
It is the grace and knowledge of the Truth that unites us together to enjoy each other’s portion.
Eliphaz was one of those so-called friends who was a part of the “Three Blind Mice” friends of Job.
Pro 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
This is what I like to call the silence of God, where God cannot speak during the cross examination of Satan and his fallen angels in the historical trial of the Angelic Conflict.
Satan has not taken Job's life, but he can take anything or anyone he desires, including Job’s wife, who apparently was better off to Satan alive rather than dead.
I think that we can all come up with some good reasons as to why Satan would NOT take Job’s wife!
After all, most of you have heard the statement I am about to make which is based upon the fact that “Hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn.”
By the poet William Congreve.
None of us men in this church or in any other church could ever give Satan a go when it comes to looks or brains.
Satan, the devil, Lucifer, Heylel, = Satan is not only handsome and wise, but he would win over most of the females that might even be open to him right now!
Satan is also a genius mentally as well as a musician and a writer of music.
