JOH 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
JOH 15:4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither {can} you, unless you abide in Me.
JOH 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
GAL 5:16 = “walking by means of the Spirit” is contrasted with carrying out the desires of the flesh so that there is obviously a battle within all of us going on.
“walking by means of the Spirit” = GAL 5:16, the apostle Paul said to the Gentiles; But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
If we obey these commands we will live freely and be filled with zeal for the Lord which is motivated by God the Holy Spirit; Titus 2:11-14.
When you do what this passage says, then you won’t feed the compulsions of lusts, selfishness, or even ungodly desires.
GAL 2:20 = the Christian way of life is a super-natural way of life and, as such, it demands a supernatural means of execution.
GAL 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the {life} which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.
This is a supernatural means of execution, and as such, it serves us the resurrection zoe life we should all seek to attain.
“This life” = a life lived by means of faith in contrast with the Galatian attempt to live the Christian way of life by means of the flesh or the Old Sin Nature; Gal 3:1-3.
GAL 3:1 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you or [who has demonized you or demonized your soul] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed {as} crucified?
“Having begun by the Spirit are you now trying to be matured by means of your flesh or the old sin nature;” Eph 5:18; Heb 4:12?”
This is when we all recognize that we have the ability to beware of becoming a Stereo-Type Believer.
The Stereo Type Believer allows his OSN to rule his soul as a counterfeit spiritual nature with a counterfeit system of spirituality which produces pseudo-spirituality.
By pseudo-spirituality, I am referring to the carnal believer or the Stereo Type Christian; 1Co 3:1-3.
- The Stereo-type Christian is a believer filled with the mental attitude sins like fear, worry, anxiety, and especially, bitterness; HEB 12:15.
HEB 12:15 “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;”
- The stereo type Christian is filled with fear, which includes worry and anxiety; 2Ti 1:7;
2Ti 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and discipline.
ROM 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
- The Stereo type Christian is also filled with hatred, which includes anger, even violence; Joh 15:16-20.
MAT 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body, but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.”
LUK 9:22 “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.”
EPH 4:26 Be angry, and {yet} do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
My point is that all believers commit murder or they are angry people in some way.
MAR 9:31 For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later.”
MAT 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body, but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- The Stereo-type Christian also murders mentally or physically or in some cases, both; mental murder or physical murder; 1Jo 3:13-15;
- The Stereo type Christian loves to feel sorry for themselves and fall into sins related to self-pity or sins related to guilt. (Like Jonah; Elijah).
JON 4:1 — What greatly displeased Jonah, and what caused Jonah to become angry?
Jon 1:2, the Lord said to the prophet Jonah to “Arise, go to Nineveh the great city, and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.”
Here is one of the main principles that our Lord used because the wickedness of the citizens of Nineveh had come up before the Lord; Jon 1:2.
”Jonah, the prophet of doom,” did not want to go to Nineveh and even worse than that, Jonah despised the Ninevites; JON 1:3.
Eye gate and ear gate passage, JON 4:1 But it greatly displeased Jonah, and he became angry.
Question: An eye gate and ear gate passage, JON 4:1 But it greatly displeased Jonah, and he became angry.
What was that greatly displeased Jonah, and caused him to become angry?
JON 3:4 = Jonah was depressed and thinking of committing suicide underneath the plant that the Lord provided just for him, but Jonah fell into the trap of feeling sorry for himself.
This is a revival that the average evangelist would love to experience.
Not Jonah, he is too busy feeling sorry for himself because the people he did not like, the people of Nineveh, became believers in Jehovah Elohim, the Lord God.
Here is a passage where the unbelieving King looks better than the believing prophet.
In ECC 7:1 A good name (outer reputation) is better than a good ointment, And the day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth.
Is there an age of accountability when people reach the ability to discern the difference between right and wrong?
What happens to babies who die before they reach an accountability?
What happens to those who are mentally unable to understand the Gospel?
Is there an age of accountability or is there a mental capacity that an individual must reach before they are accountable for their decisions concerning the Lord and what they think about Him?
What happens to individuals whose parents never reared them up in the Bible?
2TI 3:16-17, All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
MAT 22:29 But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures, or the power of God.
PRO 30:5-6 = “Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words Lest He reprove you, and you be proved a liar.”
- The Stereo-type Christian is a believer filled with the mental attitude sins like fear, worry, anxiety, and especially, bitterness; Heb 12:15.
- The stereo type Christian is filled with fear, which includes worry and anxiety; 2Ti 1:7;
- The Stereo type Christian is also filled with hatred, which includes anger, even violence; Joh 15:16-20.
- The Stereo-type Christian also murders mentally or physically or in some cases, both; mental murder or physical murder; 1Jo 3:13-15;
- The Stereo type Christian loves to feel sorry for themselves and fall into sins related to self-pity or sins related to guilt. (Like Jonah; Elijah).
- The Stereo type Christian activism include arrogance, pride, jealousy, implacability, bitterness, vindictiveness, inordinate ambition and inordinate competition, all motivational sins, and sinful thoughts.
- The Stereo type Christian is filled with verbal sins which include gossip, maligning, slander, judging, lying, and verbal deception.
- The Stereo Type Christian often gets involved with partying and usually their sins include chemical sins, sexual sins, criminal sins.
- So, the issue is: Will you be influenced by doctrine and testify of the Lord Jesus Christ as a member of the royal family of God or will you be influenced by evil and become what 1Jo 3:10 calls “a disciple of the devil” or what I like to call “The stereo-type Christian.”
- Doctrine always exposes the plastic pseudo-stereo type Christian who lacks individuality and lays prey for the popular evangelists.
The stereo type Christian is someone who personally has believed in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The stereo type Christian is totally ignorant of God’s plan even though he is a member of the Royal Family of God, he doesn’t know what to do. The Stereo Type Christian substitutes what he assumes or feels must be God’s plan for his life. The Stereo Type Christian concludes that the goal of the Christian life and spirituality is living moral. The Stereo Type Christian assumes that the key to the Christian life is a sweet personality. All this is because The Stereo-type Christian has no idea or concept about the plan of God.
They have no idea why they were created:
No idea of the Angelic Conflict.
No idea of the why there is Sin, Satan, and Suffering.
No idea of the Hypostatic Union and what undiminished deity and true humanity means concerning the Lord Jesus Christ.
No idea of the Church-age.
No idea of Mystery Doctrine.
No idea of the Total depravity of all mankind.
No idea of how to communicate the Gospel properly.
You may recall that in MAT 16:3, the Lord rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees because they could not discern the signs of the times?
