2008 San Francisco Conference. Part 3.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Are you getting the message we as pastors are sending?
Are you hearing the biblical message?

You can reject the message or you can let the message in.

I HEAR THE MESSAGE.

Did you understand the message?
You either don’t understand the message or you do understand the message.
Were there vocabulary terms that were not clear to you?
Did you miss part of the message?
If you missed the message, did you write down a question about it?

I UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE.
Do you believe the message?
I don’t believe the message or I do believe the message.

I BELIEVE THE MESSAGE.
I HEAR THE MESSAGE.
I UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE.
I BELIEVE THE MESSAGE.

The Christian SIT makes a difference.

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!
Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you – unless indeed you fail the test?
2CO 13:5

UPON REFLECTION

The theme of the conference is SIT, WALK, STAND.

As Christians, we begin the Christian Way of Life from the SIT position.

…and (God the Father) raised us up with Him (the Lord Jesus Christ), and seated us (believers in Christ) with (the Lord Jesus Christ) in the heavenly places in (union with) Christ Jesus. EPH 2:6

You have two choices in the matter of your Christian SIT…

Don’t just sit there! Do something!
or
Relax as Spiritual Royalty
Under God’s Instruction

Cosmic Choices

The doctrine of sitting is a message from the Godhead that the Christian Way of Life is a PASSIVE way of life, and requires nothing from believers in Christ other than our permission.

PASSIVE does not mean
apathetic.
PASSIVE does not mean
complacent.
PASSIVE does not mean
sedentary.

Passive means
TO ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE ACTED UPON BY AN OUTSIDE FORCE.

And do not be conformed to this world (cosmos diabolicus… Satan’s system of worldly thinking), but (keep on) be(ing) transformed by the renewing of your mind (the renovation of your thinking). ROM 12:2

Are you ready to let God bring out the best in you and to help you use your learning?

We WALK in our life in the cosmic system.

Therefore I (Paul), the prisoner of the Lord, implore you (believers in Christ) to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called. EPH 4:1

“You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
MAT 5:14

STAND against the strategies of the devil.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1JO 4:4

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes (strategies) of the devil.EPH 6:11

…and do not give the devil an opportunity (a room in your soul). EPH 4:27

Submit therefore to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

JAM 4:7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. PRO 3:5-6
WALK – To move from place to place…to have locomotion.

If SIT is our education in
the Christian Way of Life,
WALK is our examination,
as God introduces us to various situations that reveal the quality of our SIT education.

The doctrine of walking is a message from the Godhead
that the Christian Way of Life
is a lifestyle of movement…
a lifestyle to test the quality
of our education.

INSANITY
Doing the same things
over and over again and
expecting a different result.
