However, most of us were a little surprised when we discovered that some of what we have been taught about “Easter” is not only in error, but it was deliberately revealed us so that we can’t straighten it out.
There is a whole truthful story behind how the word “Easter” came into existence from a demon-god called “Ishtar” or “Astarte.”
The traditional pagan fertility symbols of both rabbits and eggs continued to be associated with this holiday.
Whether than one teach on the origin of the holiday and the influence that the pagans and cults had and have upon it, I would rather focus in on the reality of what we should be celebrating today.
EPH 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
EPH 6:12 which literally says Because our struggle is not against blood [people’s souls] and flesh [their old sin nature], but against the rulers [these are the archons like Abaddon and Beelzebub found in book of Revelation], against the powers [demon officers who have phenomenal authority], against the world forces of this darkness [kosmokratoras meaning demons who specialize in possessing or influencing the cosmos or world rulers] against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places or against the spiritual forces of evil in the atmosphere around the earth, the stellar universe and in the presence of God.
Eph 6:13-20, Because of this, pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground in the day when evil attacks you, even after you have achieved or accomplished everything, hold your ground. Because of this, hold your ground, [after you] have buckled on your combat gear around your waist by means of doctrine, and [after you] have put on the breastplate of righteousness, [hold your ground] after you have put on your combat boots on your feet with readiness, preparation, or the equipment of the gospel of peace. in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
This past year, we described, categorized, and considered a doctrine that we studied called the Doctrine of Numerology which is a doctrine that gives us SOME exception into what is going on especially since our true enemy is an invisible.
The number 10 which under the doctrine of numerology represents some very interesting things such as;
1. The Ten I Am’s
2. The Ten Commandments,
3. The Ten Plagues;
4. The Holy Spirit descended on the apostles ten days after the Pentecost.
1. The Institution of the Lord’s Supper;
2. The betrayal of Judas Iscariot
3. His mistreatment from both Courts (Jew-Gentile)
4. His sufferings before the Cross
5. His sufferings upon the Cross
6. His Seven Sayings from the Cross
7. His Unique spiritual death of our Lord.
8. His physical death.
9. His Burial
10. His resurrection
In the past, the name Easter as is commonly used today is also associated with some of the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
They had not planned to take Jesus on a feast day which would be a Sabbath day and on that they planned to kill him but for fear of the Jews who were celebrating their Passover because of him.
It seemed to Him to be the best ting forward lookimg like he was nothing but toung, rising not for Him but against Him , just like it was ultimately Jesus who was in charge of the six trials that he endured even though he was being totally mistreated.
