Title: A Father’s Day Special: The importance of a father’s advice found in the Word of God,
Turn to PRO 22:6, where we have the most popular passages on Father’s Day which is;
The advice that David, the father of Solomon, taught to his son Solomon in the entire book of Proverbs which it is true from PRO 1 to PRO 30.
PRO 31 is written by Solomon’s mother Bathsheba, as a mother’s advice to her son.
So, we begin in PRO 22:6.
PRO 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.
In fact,
The entire book of Proverbs is really the advice of the father to the son with the exception of PRO 31, where his mother Bathsheba gave him advice as to what he should look for in choosing the woman to marry.
One of the lessons that come from the book of Proverbs is…….
The principle of using other little creatures as a form of teaching the message with typology.
This is what is known as an anthropathisms and anthropomorphisim
An anthropopathism ascribes a human characteristic to God; a characteristic, which God does not actually possess and one, which is not actually a divine attribute.
The purpose of an anthropopathism is to explain a divine policy to man in terms of man's frame of reference.
An anthropopathism uses human emotions to identify God’s way of teaching us what He is trying to reveal to us..
Like love, hate, anger, repent, feeling sorry, etc.
It is usually a verb.
An anthropomorphism uses certain parts of the body to reveal to us God’s way of teaching us by using human parts of the anatomy to teach us.
Like the eyes of the Lord or the many breasts, the heart, the eyes, etc. and is usually a noun not a verb.
Through language of accommodation the Bible ascribes to God human physical characteristics that He does not actually possess.
This is used as a teaching device in order for man to understand God's divine policy, character and function on man's own finite level of understanding.
For example, look at the typology that is used beginning with PRO 30:5, the last passage that Solomon gives advice from that David father can advice.
PRO 30:5 Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Then skip down to verse 11.
Beginning in verse 11, this is the last passage that Solomon wrote that his father David had taught him.
PRO 30:11 There is a kind of man who curses his father, and does not bless his mother.
PRO 30:12 There is a kind who is pure in his own eyes, Yet is not washed from his filthiness.
PRO 30:13 There is a kind oh how lofty are his eyes! And his eyelids are raised in arrogance.
PRO 30:14 There is a kind of man whose teeth are like swords, And his jaw teeth like knives, To devour the afflicted from the earth, and the needy from among men.
PRO 30:15 The leech has two daughters, "Give," "Give." There are three things that will not be satisfied, Four that will not say, "Enough":
PRO 30:16 Sheol, and the barren womb, earth that is never satisfied with water, a d fire that never says, "Enough."
PRO 30:17 The eye that mocks a father, and scorns a mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young eagles will eat it.
PRO 30:18 There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Four which I do not understand:
PRO 30:19 The way of an eagle in the sky, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the middle of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid.
PRO 30:20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, "I have done no wrong."
PRO 30:21 Under three things the earth quakes, And under four, it cannot bear up:
PRO 30:22 Under a slave when he becomes king, and a fool when he is satisfied with food,
PRO 30:23 Under an unloved woman when she gets a husband, and a maidservant when she supplants her mistress.
PRO 30:24 Four things are small on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise:
PRO 30:25 The ants are not a strong folk, but they prepare their food in the summer;
PRO 30:26 The badgers are not mighty folk, yet they make their houses in the rocks;
PRO 30:27 The locusts have no king, Yet all of them go out in ranks;
PRO 30:28 The lizard you may grasp with the hands, yet it is in kings' palaces.
PRO 30:29 There are three things which are stately in their march, Even four which are stately when they walk:
PRO 30:30 The lion which is mighty among beasts and does not retreat before any,
PRO 30:31 The strutting cock, the male goat also, and a king when his army is with him.
PRO 30:32 If you have been foolish in exalting yourself or if you have plotted evil, put your hand on your mouth.
PRO 30:33 For the churning of milk produces butter, and pressing the nose brings forth blood; So the churning of anger produces strife.
So, we will begin by looking at all the typology that the book of Proverbs uses as we get ready for our main message on this Fathers Day Special.
PRO 30:24 Four things are small on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise:
Such things as in PRO 30:25 where ants who are weak, but they store up their food in the summer, so that they are prepared for the winter.
In PRO 30:26, we see that rock badgers: are not strong either, but they make their homes among the rocks.
In verse 27, Locusts have no king, yet all of them go out in ranks.
In verse 29, There are four things that are impressive to watch as they walk.
In verse 30, lions, strongest of all animals and afraid of none.
In verse 31, the strutting cock, the male goat also, and a king when his army is with him.
These cocks are strutting roosters, and kings in front of their people.
In verse 32, If you have been foolish enough to be arrogant and plan evil, stop and think!
Finally, In verse 33, if you churn milk, you get butter. If you hit someone's nose, it bleeds. If you stir up anger, you get into trouble.
The book of Proverbs is the greatest book in the Bible concerning the relationship that a father has with his son, as well as the relationship that a mother has for her son, which is our PRO 31, the chapter on the virtuous woman.
In the thousands of years covered in the Old Testament, do you want to guess how many times God is called Father?
Seven, the Finished work number which means totally completed and perfect,
People just didn’t think of God as their Father.
They thought of him as other kinds of things — Creator, Almighty One, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace..
These principles and others from the New Testament reveal these principles:
Like
EPH 6:4 And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Or;
COL 3:21 Fathers, do not exasperate your children, that they may not lose heart.
So, this leads us to our Father’s Day special which is;
The importance of a father’s advice using typology throughout the Word of God.
For example,
One of the most interesting principles used throughout the Word of God as a form of typology, which means to teach by using illustrations that are similar to the human race and the caterpillar is used throughout the Word.
In the spiritual world, a caterpillar holds weight in meaning and significance.
This is why you should learn to pay attention to a caterpillar whenever you find one.
There are at least 13 spiritual meanings of a caterpillar, although I will only have time to use some of them.
This is a very interesting subject because of all the beautiful things it holds in store for you.
Have you seen a caterpillar recently?
Do you want to know what the Lord means by using a caterpillar which eventually turns into a butterfly with spiritual meaning behind it?
The beautiful nature of butterflies makes it easy for you to understand what they bring into your life.
However, this is a bit different than most people think about.
Caterpillars are a lot different from butterflies.
Therefore,
Don’t always be in a hurry to attribute the same spiritual meaning of a butterfly to that of a caterpillar.
What does it mean when you see a caterpillar?
Seeing a caterpillar means that the Lord has you in mind.
He will remind you that although you are just a caterpillar, and there is in ROM 7:18 nothing good that dwells in us, that is, in our flesh; for the wishing is present in us, but the doing of the good is not.
Someday we will turn into a butterfly which represents the resurrection into a New Creation; 2CO 5:17.
For in 2CO 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
We tend to forget or not understand that the spiritual realm is more real than the natural realm; 2CO 4:17-18.
For example, look back at 2CO 4:17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
2CO 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Because of the different things we face in the natural, we become stereotyped in our minds to believe that we are ultimately on our own.
And, in reality, that is true in one way but untrue in another.
For as; GAL 6:1 says;
GAL 6:1 Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.
GAL 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.
GAL 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
GAL 6:4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.
GAL 6:5 For each one shall bear his own load.
We all have to live our own life “alone.”
ROM 14:12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.
But we are not really all alone because our Lord, who is called the “Word of God,” in REV 19:13.
REV 19:13 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.
He said;
MAT 28:20 I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
He also said;
HEB 13:5 "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,"
Now,
One of the best ways to communicate this message is to study the natural lessons on the caterpillar and then reveal its spiritual significance.
Looking at the caterpillar will expose its vulnerabilities which makes it an “easy target” for predators because of its helplessness and weakness.
A caterpillar will eventually grow into a butterfly and become formidable to some level of predators.
This is a sign that the Lord the Lord Jesus Christ is caring for the butterfly as He cares for us says Peter.
1PE 5:7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.
Paul tells us in;
1CO 12:25 that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
It is a message that the Lord Jesus Christ also has you in mind, and is caring for you.
Another spiritual meaning of seeing a caterpillar is patience.
Because of our ambitions and goals, we might fall into the trap of being impatient at one point or the other.
Patience = an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.
Patience = a quiet, steady perseverance with care and diligence.
With the presence of a caterpillar, you will learn to believe in the power of patience, and approach your life with such a mindset.
Seeing a caterpillar will remind you of the process that you will have to pass through in your life to reach the peak which is to become a butterfly.
The point is that all caterpillars have the chance to become a butterfly but all do not.
The typology is that all members of the human race have the same opportunity to become a butterfly but all do not says MAT 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
It will teach you to appreciate every stage of your life, and be patient, even in difficult situations.
In the spiritual world, a caterpillar holds weight in meaning and significance.
This is why you should learn to pay attention to a caterpillar whenever you find one.
There are at least 13 spiritual meanings of a caterpillar as used in the Bible which are very interesting because of all the beautiful things it holds in store for you.
The caterpillar is a perfect way to give fatherly advice to his son by describing how fathers can use typology to train their children.
Have you seen a caterpillar recently?
Do you want to know what the spiritual meaning our Lord intends to reveal to us using a caterpillar which eventually becomes a butterfly?
The beautiful nature of butterflies makes it easy for you to understand;
What can happen in your life, in the natural realm, which refers to the OSN, but in the spiritual realm refers to being resurrected and made a brand-new spiritual species.
However, this is a bit different than most people think about.
Caterpillars are a lot different from butterflies.
Therefore,
Don’t always be in a hurry to attribute the same spiritual meaning of a butterfly to that of a caterpillar.
What does it mean when you see a caterpillar?
Seeing a caterpillar means that the Lord has you in mind in both the natural and the spiritual realm.
Because of the different things we face in the natural, we become stereotyped in our minds to believe that we are ultimately on our own.
And, in reality, that is true!
We all have to live our own life “alone.”
ROM 14:12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.
But we are not really all alone because our Lord, who is called the “Word of God” says REV 19:13 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.
As the Word of God our Lord says;
MAT 28:20 I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
He also said;
HEB 13:5 "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,"
Now,

A caterpillar will eventually grow into a butterfly and become formidable to some level of predators.
This is a sign that the Lord the Lord Jesus Christ is caring for the butterfly as He cares for us.
What is patience?
Patience is the quality of being patient during the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or etc.
And this is only produced for the believer as divine good by God the Holy Spirit; GAL 5:22.
GAL 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
Patience is also the ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.
Because of our ambitions and goals, we might fall into the trap of impatience at one point or the other.
We might be forced to think that our lives are slower than expected.
However,
With the presence of a caterpillar, you will learn to believe in the power of patience, and approach your life with such a mindset.
The primary symbolism of a caterpillar is patience.

The primary symbolism of a caterpillar is patience.
This is a common message that comes with the presence of a caterpillar.
Seeing a caterpillar will remind you of ….
The process that you will have to pass through in your life to reach the goal of the spiritual life which is found in REV 4:11, which is the first chapter after the Church-age and the seven churches.
Turn to REV 4:11.
REV 4:11 "Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things, and because of Thy will they existed, and were created."
Turn to PHI 3:13, where the goal is mentioned.
PHI 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
PHI 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
PHI 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;
It will teach you to appreciate every stage of your life, and be patient – even in difficult situations.
Now, I got this idea of using typology as a form of teaching when two weeks ago Robert T. taught the different steps that he gave us during his message.
As he was teaching us;
The Lord revealed to me to use that message and the typology behind it for Father’s Day.
So, I am going to close this message with the principles that Robert gave us concerning how to make bread.
For we know that JOH 6:31 says "Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ' He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. '"
JOH 6:32 Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.
JOH 6:33 "For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
JOH 6:34 They said therefore to Him, "Lord, evermore give us this bread."
JOH 6:35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
The first one;
- Beat eggs, sugar, salt and milk for 5 minutes at medium speed.
I believe that this refers to what Robert said when he gave us the typology behind the steps that a baker uses when making natural bread.
We all need to be beaten at times which is a type of suffering for blessing or underserved suffering when we go through different forms of testing.
Remember that; JOH 12:25 says "He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.
Also we are told back in JOH 6:35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
LUK 22:19 And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
Turn to 1CO 11:23, where we use typology every time at the celebration of the Lord’s supper.
1CO 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
Now here comes typology.
1CO 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
1CO 11:25 In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1CO 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
We know therefore, that our Lord is the bread of life.
- The second step is to add yeast, water and flour and mix for 5 minutes at low speed.
When I heard that, I thought about the following passages that apply to this principle such as living for today such as;
2TI 2:3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2TI 2:4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
2TI 2:5 And also if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules.
- The third step is to add yeast, water and flour and mix for 5 minutes at low speed.
Learn the live your life one day at a time.
For our Lord said in;
MAT 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
MAT 6:25 "For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than clothing?
MAT 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
MAT 6:27 "And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span?
MAT 6:28 "And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,
MAT 6:29 yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these.
MAT 6:30 "But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do so for you, O men of little faith?
MAT 6:31 "Do not be anxious then, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we clothe ourselves?'
MAT 6:32 "For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
MAT 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
MAT 6:34 "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
- The fourth step is to add butter then mix for 5 minutes at low speed.
What does the Bible say about butter in the Bible?
It’s interesting that;
Butter is used in curdled milk according to GEN18:8 ; JUD 5:25 ; 2SA 17:29), or butter is also used in the form of the skim of hot milk or cream, called by the Arabs kaimak, a semi-fluid (Job 20:17; 29:6 ; DEU 32:14).
The words of PRO 30:33 have been rendered by some "the pressure [not churning] of milk bringeth forth cheese."
PRO 30:33 For the churning of milk produces butter, And pressing the nose brings forth blood; So the churning of anger produces strife.
Then we were taught by Robert that;
Once everything is mixed move to high speed for 8 minutes and then let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
Notice the word “rest” because;
HEB 4:1 Therefore, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.
HEB 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.
- The fifth principle was to cut and divide into baking pans.
This, believe it or not, refers to the principle of dividing passages like;
HEB 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Or in JUD 1:16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.
JUD 1:17 But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
JUD 1:18 that they were saying to you, "In the last time there shall be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts."
JUD 1:19 These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly minded, devoid of the Spirit.
- The sixth principle was to cut and divide into baking pans.
We all need to learn about’
HEB 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
- The seventh step was to place pans in proofer to rise.
Turn to EPH 5:14 For this reason it says, #"Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you."
EPH 5:15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise,
EPH 5:16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
EPH 5:17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
EPH 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
EPH 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
EPH 5:20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
- The eighth principle is to place in the oven to bake.
This refers of living one day at a time.
For ROM 14:8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
We all need to wait upon the Lord and He always comes true for us
JAM 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude or deceive themselves.
All of these principles that Deacon Robert Tavarsas taught to us were great principles on how he sees the analogy of baking bread being a baker himself.
However, on a humorous note, I thought I would remind you of a passage that you should never forget.
GEN 40:22 but he (Pharoah) hanged the chief baker just as Joseph had interpreted to them.
Always be careful DRT, remember what the Bible says about bakers and I will close with this.
GEN 40:22 but he hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had interpreted to them.
