The Angelic Conflict in Human History answers basic questions about life.

A. Why the creation of man?
Mankind was created to glorify God as an inferior creature to angels.
HEB 1:4-5 - He has inherited a more excellent name than the angels.
HEB 1:6 - He will be worshipped by them as the Firstborn.
HEB 1:7 - He created them.
HEB 1:8 - He sits on the Divine throne.
HEB 1:9 - He is anointed above the angels.
These angels are doomed, MAT 25:41, to the lake of fire forever.
ISA 5:14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged its throat and opened its mouth without measure;
“To pay much closer attention” - pres-act-inf -prosechein. pros = face to face. echo = to have and to hold. Prosechein = to apply the mind to something, or to concentrate on the subject - the doctrine being taught.
Grace always precedes judgment.
“Lest we drift away” - aor-act-subj - pararuomen = to let the doctrine drift past you or flow by you.
a. Refusing to hear the teaching of the Word of God on a consistent basis.
b. Hearing the teaching of Bible doctrine but refusing to metabolize it; the failure to convert gnosis into epignosis.
c. Metabolizing doctrine so that it exists in the soul but not applying what you have learned; the doctrine becomes unusable or forgotten.
Perseverance in the faith and continuance in His word is the primary prerequisite for the disciple or student of doctrine.
Angels were used by God to bring doctrine to men, ACT 7:38,53.
Man is now being used by God to bring doctrine to men and angels, EPH 3:10.
EPH 3:10 in order that the multi-faceted or many-sides of the wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.
“Every transgression” - parabasis = every form of stepping over the line.
Disobedience - parakoe = disobedience that results from neglecting to hear doctrine and letting these fantastic things drift by, vs 1.
Disobedience = refusing to hear. ISA 28:12 He who said to them, “Here is rest, give rest to the weary,” And, “Here is repose,” but they would not listen.
ISA 30:9 For this is a rebellious people, false sons, Sons who refuse to listen To the instruction of the Lord;
Kenneth Wuest - “the nature of the sin of Adam was a careless indifferent attitude towards the commands of God.”
ROM 5:19 “For as through the one mans disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one the many will be made righteous.”
Parakoe = “to hear alongside” thus failing to concentrate when hearing or hearing amiss.
MAT 25:41 Then He will also say to those on His left, “Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;”
Neglect - aor-act-part, amelesantes = to be careless toward something or to make light of, to disregard.
The ultimate triumph of man occurs in the world to come - the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ.
In the Church-age, Satan and his angels reign. In the Millennium, man will rule - Jesus Christ, the son of David.
LUK 19:17 “Because you have been faithful in a very little thing, be in authority over ten cities.”
Concern - pres-mid-ind - episkepte = to go and see the sick or to relieve those who are sick.
MAT 9:12 But when He heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”
MAR 2:17 Jesus said to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Mans fall did not win the conflict for Satan, nor did it set Gods plan back, it actually sent it forward into the greater gear of “grace,” DEU 23:5.
