The Angelic Conflict. Part 52. The existence of Free Will in the human race perpetuates the Angelic Conflict.

Point 12. The Existence of Free Will in the Human Race Perpetuates the Angelic Conflict.

This is actually promoted by many Calvinists, especially hyper-Calvinists.
They teach that man cannot choose God or the plan of God, and therefore God must choose Him.

This comes from taking certain scriptures out of context, not comparing scripture with scripture, and a problem that John Calvin and a lot of his followers have, they did not know the original language.

1. Isagogics is the historical setting of the passage.
2. Categories is the systematic theology developed from combining Scripture with Scripture.
3. Exegesis is the grammatical and syntactical analysis of the passage from the original languages.

Many Calvinists hold to the doctrine of double predestination which is heresy and an attack upon the justice of God. This is the teaching that God has predestined some to be saved and some to the eternal lake of fire.

ROM 5:12 “Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned - when Adam sinned”
1CO 15:22 in Adam all die
EPH 2:3 - we were by nature children of wrath,

Every member of the human race since then has been born into sin without their consent; therefore, if God sent them to hell because they were born sinners, He would be unjust in doing so.

Mankind is not responsible for imputed sin.

It is true in a sense that man does not really have a free will, but he does have a choice.

Everyone has the opportunity to make a decision to be saved, and if they do not have the opportunity then they are safe.

All children who die before the age of accountability, mentally speaking, go to heaven and are given eternal life,2SA 12:23.

All retarded people who have been mentally incapable of making a decision to believe on TLJC as their Lord and Savior will also go to heaven,
JON 4:11.

ROM 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
ROM 11:15 - God reconciled the world unto Himself.
2CO 5:19 God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them

1JO 4:14 And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
1TI 2:4 He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1TI 2:6 He gave Himself as a ransom for all,

1TI 4:10 He is called the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
HEB 2:9 - TLJC tasted death for everyone.
1JO 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

1CO 2:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory;

“He who believes in Him” - to believe - pres-act-part - pisteuon - = mankind makes his own willful decision to believe in TLJC.

“Has not believed” -
perf-act-ind - pepisteuken - he has refused to believe in Jesus Christ.

Predestination is a print-out from the sovereign will of God and it applies to believers only.

2PE 3:9 “The Lord is not willing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

Hyper-Calvinism says the only reason you ever believed in Christ was because you were elected.

Chosen - aor-mid-ind - exelexasthe = God did not choose us based upon His volition only, but also based upon our response to His initiation.

Middle voice - there were two wills involved in this situation, the will of God to save us and the will of man to respond with a non-meritorious system of perception called faith.

Chose - aor-mid-ind - eklegomai = God did not choose us based upon His volition only but also based upon our response to His initiation.

Many forms of Calvinism also promote the principle of limited atonement which says in effect that Jesus Christ just died for some people’s sins but not everyone’s.

The mistake of many Calvinists is that they do not understand that the sovereignty of God and the free will of man coexist in human history by divine decree.

God is glorified when the free will of man executes the sovereign will of God.

The unbeliever is said to go to the eternal lake of fire after the last judgment because of unbelief, because of the use of his volition, not because of the determination of the sovereignty of God.

Unlimited atonement is the demonstration that the sovereignty of God desires that no one should perish.

2CO 6:2 for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you”

If God chose us and we had nothing do to with it, it would be unjust for Him to send any member of the human race to hell since all of us were born in sin.

The existence of the free will in the human race perpetuates the angelic conflict in two areas:
A. Evangelism. B. In the PPOG for the Church-age.

Through rejection of Christ or the plan of God, mankind chooses the plan of Satan, which runs the range from religion to legalism, socialism, all forms of arrogance, emotionalism, atheism, or any other form of independence from God.

Because of the extension of the angelic conflict into human history, the sovereignty of God and the free will of man coexist by divine decree.

Whether we are positive toward Christ and the PPOG or not, no matter how we fail or suffer, there is no way we can hinder the glory of God.

Freedom guarantees inequality.

Some people use their freedom to succeed in God’s plan by using divine power and living a spiritual life; some choose to use human power and live independently from God.

1JO 2:28 And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
