The Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Part 2.

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

All the positions and possessions of the believer are his on the sole ground of his place in Christ through the Baptism of the Spirit.

English – in Him you have been made complete. Greek – you are in Him made complete.

In Jesus we have humanity in all its glory. He possesses all that is good in man.

If you live your life in Christ you are:
Ready for anything;
Thankful for everything;
Afraid of nothing.

Pleroo –
1) To fill up a deficiency so nothing is lacking; to completely fill.
2) To fully possess and influence.
3) To fill up with a certain quality.

You are in Him, having been filled so that nothing is lacking, with the present result that you are in a state of fullness, which will last forever.

John 1:16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

God the Holy Spirit takes every believer at the point of salvation and enters him into union with Jesus Christ.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit belongs to all believers – the carnal as well as the spiritual.
All believers have the same security.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not an experience. It is neither an emotion nor ecstatics. It is something you possess on the basis of grace.

The results of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are not progressive, it can never be added to or improved upon, either in time or in eternity.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not related to human merit or human good. It is a grace gift of God.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is eternal in nature, it will last forever and it cannot be changed by God, by angels, or by man.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is known only by the Word of God, and it must be communicated to you, it isn’t something you would ever pick up on your own.
