The Betrayer and the Unholy Trinity as we noted last March.
We are living in the Church-age, the dispensation of no prophecy, and therefore, a dispensation which continues on the basis of what we call historical trends.
Eeven though history is the record of man’s thoughts, decisions, actions and motivations, it is Jesus Christ who ultimately controls all of history, both human and angelic.
His hour is a reference to the Cross and really it is His hour of victory in the angelic conflict, JOH 12:23; JOH 17:1, MAR 14:41.
The very same one who was about to betray Him (Judas Iscariot), we are told that the Lord even had love for Him unto the end, says JOH 13:1.) PSA 41:9 “Even My close friend, in whom I trusted, who ate My bread, has lifted up his heel against Me.”
Absalom decided to put down his father, judge him, speak evil about him and then he tried to start a rebellion to overthrow his father, and take over the throne.
MAT 26:14-15, Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, and said, “What are you willing to give me to deliver Him up to you?” And they weighed out to him thirty pieces of silver.
He took the thirty pieces right back to the house of the Lord and threw them down. Mat 27 says that the thirty pieces were picked up and used to buy a potter’s field, exactly fulfilling the prophecy of Zec 11.
Long before Judas was ever born, his hatred of Jesus Christ was planned by divine design--predestined in the plan of God from eternity past.
“out of the world” is the prepositional phrase “ek tou kosmou” which refers to the fact that His body went into the grave, LUK 23:53, His soul went to Paradise in Hades, ACT 2:27, His spirit went to the Father, LUK 23:46.
Trichotomus refers to the body, soul and spirit. Dichotomous refers to just the body and soul.
It’s important to note that the emphasis on the death of Christ is on His soul and His spirit, not His body.
The body was buried on the earth and the body is emphasized in resurrection not in the death of Christ because Christ died spiritually for us not physically.
“He loved” is an aor-act-part, agapesas, which of course refers to His impersonal unconditional love.
They all blew it but agapao expresses our Lord’s mental attitude toward those that He knows are going to fail completely, and that’s grace.
He knew that they would not really understand all the implications and principles behind Him washing their feet when He taught them it, but He washed their feet anyway.
This is not Satan possessing the body of Judas as a temple at this time but influencing the thoughts of Judas by being under the control of his heart. The possessing of the body of Judas by Satan is found in verses 21-27.
When Satan is cast out of heaven, he will indwell and take full control of the antichrist. As God and Christ are one, JOH 10:30, so are
Satan and the antichrist. The antichrist will only desire to do the will of Satan the father of all lies.
There is the false prophet who will complete the unholy Trinity, like the Holy Spirit, who compels men to Christ, the false prophets compels those of the earth to follow and worship the beast.
Satan represents the Father in unholy Trinity. JOH 8:44. The antichrist represents the counterfeit Christ. What is really interesting to note is that the Antichrist will have a partner that works with him in carrying out his diabolical plans. The Bible refers to this partner as
The False Prophet.
This evil man, this dictator, really will be known to us as the false prophet performs extra-supernatural phenomena, miracles, and a lot of people are impressed.
The real power of the false prophet will be a mechanical high-tech system, a computer system which uses the number 666 to identify those who have followed Satan and the anti-Christ.
It’s interesting that 6 is the number of man in the Bible. However, the code number is 6 tripled, (666) which will try to deify of man through the cosmic system.
666 is the false trinity of man deified, again we see the counterfeit of Satan.
