“BIBLE DOCTRINE IN THE SOUL CAN WEATHER ANY STORM”
JOH 6:14 Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” JOH 6:15 So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone. JOH 6:16 Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, JOH 6:17 and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. JOH 6:18 The sea began to be stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. JOH 6:19 Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, they *saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat; and they were frightened. JOH 6:20 But He *said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” JOH 6:21 So they were willing to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
YOU SEE THIS CROWD IS FOLLOWING THE LORD AT THIS MOMENT
NOT BECAUSE HIS THE LORD OF LORD AND KING OF KINGS AND SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD BUT BECAUSE OF WHAT HE COULD GIVE THEM AND DO FOR THEM. THEY WERE LOOKING TO USE THE LORD AS THEY SAW FIT.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN THAT ETERNAL KINGDOM YOU GET THE CROWN, BUT YOU ONLY GET THAT CROWN BY WAY OF THE CROSS.
IT IS EVIDENT THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE JEWISH NATIONALISTS OF SOME SORT AND DEFINITELY HAVE A POLITCAL AGENDA.
THEY WANT THE POLITICAL BUT NOT THE SPIRITUAL
JOHN 6:15 SAYS: “THEY WOULD COME AND TAKE HIM BY FORCE’
THE KINGSHIP OF THE MESSIAH HAD ROOTS IN THE PROMISES THAT GOD MADE TO KING DAVID THAT HIS SEED WOULD RULE THE NATIONS FOREVER. (2 SAMUEL 7).
ACTS 1:6 SAYS:
So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”
PERCIEVED:
IS AN AORIST PARTICIPLE, AND WHAT THAT BASICALLY SAYS IS THAT JESUS READ THEIR MINDS THAT THEY WOULD COME AND TAKE HIM BY FORCE, TO MAKE HIM A KING,…THEREFORE HE DEPARTED INTO A MOUNTAIN BY HIMSELF .
IN ORDER TO GET INTO THE ETERNAL KINGDOM YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE UPON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,…AND THE PURPOSE OF THE MIRACLE REMEMBER , WAS TO FOCUS UPON THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST, AND HIS WORK UPON THE CROSS
REMEMBER:
THE WILL OF THE FATHER IS THE CROSS BEFORE THE CROWN.
THE WILL OF THE CROWD….THEY WANT THE CROWN WITHOUT THE CROSS.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
HE WALKED OUT THEM BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO USE HIM. HE WALKED OUT ON THEM BECAUSE THEIR PLANS AND THEIR CAUSE WAS A DEVIATION FROM THE PLAN OF GOD FOR HIS LIFE.
JOHN 6: 14-15 SAYS….

NOW WHEN EVENING CAME,HIS DISCIPLES WENT DOWN TO THE SEA,
THE BASKETS WERE A REMINDER OF :
THE FAITHFULNESS OF THE LORD,
THE HYPOSTATIC UNION,
THE DEITY OF CHRIST,
AND THE MIRACLE THAT THEY JUST WITNESSED.
AND AFTER GETTING INTO A BOAT, THEY STARTED TO CROSS THE SEA TO CAPERNAUM.
AND IMMEDIATELY HE MADE THE DISCIPLES GET INTO THE BOAT,AND GO AHEAD OF HIM TO THE OTHER SIDE,
AND AFTER GETTING INTO A BOAT, THEY STARTED TO CROSS THE SEA TO CAPERNAUM AND IT HAD ALREADY BECOME DARK, AND JESUS HAD NOT YET COME TO THEM.
THE GOSPEL OF JOHN FREQUENTLY USES THE WORD “SKOTIA” WHICH MEANS DARKNESS AND , “PHOS” WHICH MEANS LIGHT, TO REFER TO BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL REALITIES .
1JOHN 1:5 STATES “ GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS”.
IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN IT IS GODS SON JESUS WHO COMES AS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD (JOHN 8:12, JOHN 9:5) BRINGING LIFE AND LIGHT TO MEN (JOHN 1:4, 3:19) IF THEY WALK IN THE LIGHT (1 JOHN 1:7).
and they may come to their senses and escape from (BJ)the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
BE ON THE ALERT.YOUR ADVERSARY,THE DEVIL,PROWLS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING,SEEKING SOMEONE TO DEVOUR.
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN TLJC WITHHOLDS THE LIGHT OF HIS COUNTENANCE EVEN FROM HIS OWN.
WHEN I EXPECTED GOOD,THEN EVIL CAME;
WHEN I WAITED FOR LIGHT,THEN DARKNESS CAME.
LIGHT ARISES IN THE DARKNESS FOR THE UPRIGHT;
GOD IS GRACIOUS AND COMPASSIONATE AND RIGHTEOUS.
I AM THE LORD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER,THE ONE FORMING LIGHT AND CREATING DARKNESS,
ISAIAH 45:3 I WILL GIVE YOU THE TREASURES OF DARKNESS, AND THE HIDDEN WEALTH OF SECRET PLACES.
JOHN 6:18 AND THE SEA BEGAN TO BE STIRRED UP BECAUSE A STRONG WIND WAS BLOWING.
THIS AREA WHERE THE DICIPLES WERE IS KNOWN AS THE GHOR , IT WAS A DEPRESSION OF THIS AREA AND IT WAS ALMOST 700 FEET BELOW SEA LEVEL,…AND THIS PROVIDES A PATH FOR SUDDEN AND STRONG WINDS.

HEBREWS 8:12 SAYS:
FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES,
AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”
PRINCIPLE:
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COURAGEOUS BELIEVER AND A COWARD IS “THINKING”.
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
PRINCIPLE:
IT IS THE COURSE OR THE PRIORITIES THAT WE HAVE UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES THAT PREPARE US FOR THE STORMS OF LIFE!
GOD BLESSES BY BOTH ADVERSITY AND PROSPERITY TO THE BELIEVER IN THE PPOG.
BUT GOD DISCIPLINES BY ADVERSITY AND PROSPERITY , THE BELIEVER IN THE COSMIC SYSTEM.
THE PHRASE “A STRONG WIND WAS BLOWING” IS IN THE IMPERFECT TENSE WHICH MEANS:
IT KEPT ON RISING AND GETTING WORST.
WHEN THEREFORE THEY HAD ROWED ABOUT THREE OR FOUR MILES,THEY BEHELD JESUS WALKING ON THE SEA AND DRAWING NEAR TO THE BOAT;AND THEY WERE FRIGHTENED.
Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
BUT HE SAID TO THEM,”IT IS I DO NOT BE AFRAID.”
JOHN 6:21 THEY WERE WILLING THEREFORE TO RECEIVE HIM INTO THE BOAT;AND IMMEDIATELY THE BOAT WAS AT THE LAND TO WHICH THEY WERE GOING.
THEY “WILLINGLY RECEIVED HIM INTO THE SHIP.”
CHRIST DOES NOT FORCE HIMSELF UPON US:
HE WAITS TO BE “RECEIVED.”
HE IS A PERFECT GENTLEMAN AND WILL NOT FORCE HIMSELF UPON THEM OR US!

ONCE A BELIEVER GAINS MOMENTUM THROUGH THE CONSISTENT PERCEPTION OF DOCTRINE HE CAN FACE ANY STORM OR ANY DISASTER OF LIFE.
ADVERSITY IS INEVITABLE, STRESS IS OPTIONAL .
HAPPINESS IS NOT A SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES.
HAPPINESS IS A CONDITION OF THE HEART.
(IE: RIGHT LOBE WHERE DOCTRINE IS STORED)
JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
DO I HAVE A HEART FILLED WITH BIBLE DOCTRINE THAT’S READY TO BE PUMPED OUT INTO MY LIFE AT ANY STORM OR ADVERSITY THAT COMES MY-WAY.
