Qal imperfect – amar = she kept on saying this to Abram, almost nagging him to death.

1CO 11:9 for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. 1CO 11:11However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.

1TI 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression.

Satan loves to get believers into self-pity because it takes them away from occupation with the Lord and leads them to occupation with self, frustration, and self-pity.

Self-pity removes you from any possibility of a solution because as long as you are occupied with self, there is absolutely no solution to any problem in life.

The person in self-pity has put themselves in that stage, and only the same volition can bring them out of self-pity.

Self-pity also leads to a false sense of self-importance.

One of the most subtle forms of pride is the pride that comes to the individual when he’s feeling sorry for himself.

Self-pity is never broken by sweetness. Self-pity is merely increased by sweetness.

There is a problem with regard to the heir, but the problem is in her subjectivity and Abram’s impatience.

There are two ways to face your problems: a. Objectively b. Subjectively

To be aware of the problem does not mean the ability to solve the problem or even know the solution to the problem.

Either you are going to respond to doctrine and wait upon the Lord, or react to the problem subjectively and try to solve it yourself.

She uses a euphemistic term for the verb to go – “bo” = “to go.”

She wasn’t really happy with the suggestion even though she suggested it.

Euphemism = the substitution of an inoffensive expression for one that may offend or suggest something unpleasant.

Euphemism = a word or phrase that is less expressive or direct but considered tasteful and less offensive.

“Her feet go down to death” feet – “regel” = seductiveness of her physical body or that which she uses to entrap man.

“regel” – by euphemism the pudenda.
