Point 7 The Judgment of the Unbelieving Dead.

Were their names originally there and then removed because they never trusted in the person and work of Christ as their Savior?

Since the issue for salvation is receiving Jesus Christ by personal faith (JOH 1:12), the unbeliever’s name is blotted out at death because of rejection of Christ.

JOH 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,”

“has not been written” per/mid/ind – grapho “it does not remain written.”

Their names are blotted out at death because they had refused to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, PSA 69:28,JOH 3:18.

“Whose names do not stand written in the book of life of the Lamb, who was slain from the foundation of the world.”

ACT 2:23 “this Man, delivered up by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put {Him} to death.”

“Whose names do not stand written in the book of life of the Lamb, who was slain from the foundation of the world.”

Point 8 There are Three Categories of People in the Book of Life forever.

Normal individuals who have reached the age of accountability and have received Jesus Christ as Savior.

The child who never reaches the age of accountability but dies before he or she is capable of understanding and is incapable of either rejecting or receiving Jesus Christ, 2SA 12:23.

The mentally retarded, the person who can never reach the age of accountability because of their inability to understand the gospel, JON 4:11.
