Point 5. The Book of life in Relation to Unbelievers.

Unlimited atonement = all unbelievers had their names in the book of life in eternity past.

2PE 3:9 “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

1TI 2:3-4 “This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

1JO 1:8 JOH 1:29 JOH 3:16 JOH 4:39 JOH 6:32 JOH 6:51 JOH 12:46

Regardless of race, culture, nationality, or sex, The Lord Jesus Christ had absolutely no prejudice and died for the sins of the entire world.

Once our Lord died for the sins of the entire world, He immediately destroyed the barrier between God and man, part of the doctrine of reconciliation.

Unlimited atonement indicated the fact that no matter what anyone says about the superiority of their race or their culture, The Lord Jesus Christ set the pattern – no prejudice! GAL 3:28.

God imputed human life to every soul, and He also imputed Adam’s original sin to every member of the human race.

PSA 51:5 “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.” PSA 58:3 “The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth.”

1CO 15:22 “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.”

Because all are born in sin and condemned because of Adam’s original sin, this demands that God is just and fair, so He had to provide salvation for everyone.

How could God be just and perfectly righteous and a God of love if He, after condemning all, only saved some?

And to whom did He give spiritual death?

Because we are all spiritually dead and God is just, God provides salvation for all mankind – God put every member of the human race in the book of life.
