Because God is a God of love, He will not stand by while members of His Royal Family sink into degeneracy.
God lovingly and sometimes severely corrects believers through discipline and wake up calls but not because He likes to see us squirm, but because He loves us.
Dealt – asah = to manufacture something out of something.
“Well” – towb = “good.”
Under horrible disastrous conditions, God can and does manufacture good out of that suffering.
DEU 32:4 The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
You are going to run into some disastrous situation and the only way you will be ready for it is to be inside the PPOG for your life.
Out of disaster, Thou hast dealt well or manufactured divine good with Thy servant,
JOB 5:17 Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
PSA 8:4 Then I look at my micro-self and wonder, Why do you bother with us? Why take a second look our way?
JOB 7:17 What is man that Thou dost magnify him, And that Thou art concerned about him,
He allows the world, the things of the world, and the people of the world to afflict and plague us to bring us back to Him.
If we knew what was really best for us at any given time, we would realize that it is just what God is doing for us.
Astray – shagag = to wander away from something you already have.
Before he was afflicted he wandered away from God and doctrine but now through affliction he is back.
Many times our trials and afflictions act like thorns and a hedge to keep us on the right path.
Many times prosperity is an open door through which we go astray.
“Astray” is also used for the sin of ignorance, LEV 5:18.
Knowledge – something we use under normal circumstances.
 Discernment – the ability to think correctly while under pressure.
Teach – Piel stem – lamadh = to learn the hard way.
Our faith must believe God’s commands are for our own good.
He was wholesome, healthy, he was not captive and in chains, but he was astray from God.
Through affliction he has developed a craving for teaching.
PSA 119:73 – God as the potter having power over you and man as the clay, cf ROM 9:21.
As the potter, God knows just how to mold and chisel us in order to do what is best and put us in top form.
Judgments = principles of doctrine that govern, judge, or determine things in your life.
He no longer sees his afflictions and sufferings but sees the faithfulness of God.
Faithfulness is based on the immutability of God who cannot change His character because of our instability.
How do you get back with it, when you have been involved with negative decisions and the details of life, etc.?
You cling on to the faithfulness of God.
Discipline and affliction is based on God’s love for the believer, REV 3:19, HEB 12:6.
1. Warning discipline, REV 3:20, JAM 5:9.
2. Intensive discipline, PSA 38:1-14, in which a person may lose his health or end up in strong delusion as did David.
PSA 38:3 – loss of health, restlessness, unable to sleep
PSA 38:4 – depression
PSA 38:6 – crying for no reason
PSA 38:7 – breakdown in the nervous system
PSA 38:8 – screaming, hollering
PSA 38:10 – trouble with the cardiovascular system.
PSA 38:11 – Aside from lack of fellowship with God, no fellowship with other people.
PSA 38:11 – your own family stays away.
PSA 38:12 – God gives enemies the freedom to come forth.
PSA 38:13 – give-up-it-is.
The only way to get out of this – 1JO 1:9, EPH 4:23
3. Dying discipline is the third and final stage,
1JO 5:16, when God takes home the believer early, 1JO 5:16; ISA 57:1.
God is not only faithful in protecting us from afflictions be He is faithful in sending them.
We are always given time before God steps in to discipline us.
Long before we are hit with divine punishment or discipline, we make our own bed of misery.
We only intensify the results of our wrong decisions by whimpering and crying and carrying on, and blaming others.
Everyone has problems, but most of the problems of believers who are advancing through doctrine, are simply testing for blessing.
God has assigned to you a number of days to live on this earth, PSA 90:12; 31:15.
PSA 90:12 “Teach us to number our days, That we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.”
PSA 31:15 “My times are in Thy hand.”
God has given us an assignment – to fulfill our personal sense of destiny, and God has also given us a certain amount of time to fulfill this destiny.
JOB 23:12 “I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”
“Treasured” – tsaphan = to esteem; to admire, appreciate, respect, and even worship.
PSA 56:4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust;
PSA 56:10 In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, Whose Word I praise,
PSA 102:23 “In the course of my life, He broke my strength, He cut short my days.”
EPH 5:16-17 “Constantly buying time, because the days are evil. Because of this, stop being ignorant, but completely understand the will [purpose] of the Lord.”
Hedonism is a philosophical concept promoting the pursuit of pleasure in life to the exclusion of truth and doctrine.
Hedonism contends that the moral duty of man is fulfilled in the gratification of pleasure seeking instincts as his way of life.
Double-mindedness = reaction to doctrinal teaching, indifference toward doctrinal teaching, the frantic search for happiness, operation boomerang.
Logistical grace belongs to the reversionistic believer as well as to the believer advancing to maturity in the PPOG.
ACT 10:34 God is not one to show partiality,
MAT 5:45 for He causes His sun to rise on {the} evil and {the} good, and sends rain on {the} righteous and {the} unrighteous.
Logistical grace is for all living believers, winners or losers, failures or successes, the difference is how the believer uses and exploits logistical grace.
Positive believers parlay logistical grace provisions into great blessings both in time and in eternity.
Negative believers use logistical grace to make themselves miserable, and to experience divine discipline in time, as well as loss of reward in eternity.
PSA 103:2-3 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases;
PSA 103:4-5 Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, {So that} your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Repent = metanoeoÂ
meta = change
noeo = thinking
Not change of emotion, but change of thinking.
God is going to give her something that would finally get her attention.
God dealt with her through the historical trend of reaping what you sow.
Then He dealt with her with warning discipline, she still refused.
In spite of the grace provision of time, she refused to rebound, and therefore she must take the temporal and eternal consequences of her negative volition.
They cannot blame the woman, however, only their own freewill.
Hedonism – you are so preoccupied with yourself, and what you are doing, you have no time for the word of God.
