The ministry of the Holy Spirit is given to those believers who desire to glorify our Lord with the doctrines that have to do with becoming a “Christian warrior” as a “Christian Soldier.”
GAL 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is (1) love , (2) joy, (3) peace, (4) patience, (5) kindness, (6) goodness, (7) faithfulness, (8) gentleness, (9) self‑control;
Each of the nine principles of warfare can be summed up in one word --- Winner.
1) The principle of objective = Plan
2) The principle of offensive = Victory
3) The principle of mass = Power
4) The principle of economy of force = Execution
5) The principle of movement = Momentum
6) The principle of surprise = Attack
7) The principle of security = Support
8) The principle of simplicity = Accuracy
9) The principle of cooperation = Teamwork
Exercise for the Royal Family in the congregation of the local church means:
1) Exercising self-discipline
2) Assembling together.
3) Concentrating on the teaching.
4) Having good manners.
5) Remaining silent in speech and action.
6) Not disturbing others.
7) Not moving around.
8) Practicing objectivity.
9) Persistence in spite of distraction.
A natural soldier is told who to fight and he understands who his enemies are.
The spiritual soldier is given the Word of God and told who are real enemy is and what we are to do as a Christian Soldier; Eph 6:10-19.
Eph 6:10 From now on, start becoming strong by means of the Lord, and in the strength of His might.
Eph 6:11 Pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground against the schemes or the strategies of the devil.
EPH 6:12 Because our struggle is not against blood [people's souls] and flesh [their old sin nature], but against the rulers [these are the archons like Abaddon and Beelzebub], against the powers [demon officers who have phenomenal authority],
against the world forces of this darkness [kosmokratoras meaning demons who specialize in possessing or influencing the cosmos or world rulers]
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places or against the spiritual forces of evil in the atmosphere around the earth, the stellar universe and in the presence of God.
Eph 6:13 Because of this, pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground in the day when evil attacks you, even after you have achieved or accomplished everything, hold your ground.
EPH 6:14 Because of this, hold your ground, [after you] have buckled on your combat gear around your waist by means of doctrine, and [after you] have put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15 [hold your ground] after you have put on your combat boots on your feet with readiness, preparation, or the equipment of the gospel of peace.
EPH 6:16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.
EPH 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
EPH 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
EPH 6:19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
EPH 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
A soldier is supplied logistically as he goes forward in training, discipline, and warfare.
God provides the Christian soldier logistical grace for his spiritual walk and warfare, 2PE 1:1-15.
2PE 1:5 Now for this very reason also, applying all (1) diligence, in your faith (2) supply (3) moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, (4) knowledge;
2PE 1:6 and in your knowledge, (5) self‑control, and in your self‑control, (6) perseverance, and in your perseverance, (7) godliness;
2PE 1:7 and in your godliness, (8) brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, (9) love.
2PE 1:8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
the military bears the expense of the war and furnishes the soldier with whatever is necessary for his calling.
our Lord has given us clothes, armor, weapons, and whatever we need to handle what we are going to face.
Everything we need, both in the natural realm and in the spiritual realm, has been provided for us by God.
In the military, a natural soldier must also be an expert and be well-skilled in his field.
The Christian soldier ought to be motivated by our Lord’s challenge in Joh 8:31-32, Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
He will also be well-skilled in all things especially counting the cost when you go to battle in LUK 14:28 "For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
In the military a natural soldier must know his position in his unit and how to keep both rank and file.
The Christian soldier must know his place and particular station that he has been appointed by God the Holy Spirit; 1Co 12:7-11.
The Christian soldier ought to know where God the Holy Spirit has placed him in the body of Christ, 1CO 12:7-18.
1CO 12:18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
Now, we can never be a winner as a Christian soldier unless we understand the Ten Problem-Solving Devices available to the Church-age believer.
PSD #1 Rebound. Rebound is the simple confession of known sins to God, 1JO 1:9, JOH 13:10, PSA 32:5. It is a grace function, requiring no overt works by the believer such as penitence which is feeling sorrow or sorry for your sins.
1JO 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
JOH 13:10 Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."
Notice the two words given, acknowledge and confess --- that’s it, that’s all.
JER 3:13 'Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,' declares the Lord.
JER 3:14 'Return, O faithless sons,' declares the Lord; 'For I am a master to you, And I will take you one from a city and two from a family, And I will bring you to Zion.'
JER 3:15 "Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.
The rebound technique is the only problem-solving device that functions when the believer is in a state of carnality, in a state of sin, out of fellowship with God.
we are part of a royal priesthood at the moment of salvation.
God not only is faithful and just to forgive us for the sins that we confess but He also cleanses us from all unrighteousness and that means we can be back in fellowship with God.
For one of the seven ministries of God the Holy Spirit at salvation is to fill the believer with the Holy Spirit.
And, do you know what is sad?
For some believers that is the only time they are ever filled with the Spirit because when they commit their first sin, they are out of fellowship and do not know how to be filled with the Spirit from that point on.
In His righteousness, He provides the individuals and the messages to teach them but they do not listen to what the Spirit is saying to the Church, the entire body of Christ.
Without rebound as a problem-solving device, it would be impossible to utilize your portfolio of invisible assets.
The Holy Spirit cannot teach the human spirit when a believer is out of fellowship with God.
Without rebound as the first problem-solving device, it would be impossible to learn and use the other problem-solving devices.
This problem-solving device, which we call rebound, is the most neglected one in the Church today, but is the key to using all other problem-solving devices.
Without rebound as the first problem-solving device, it would be impossible to execute the predesigned plan of God.
Without rebound as the first problem-solving device, it would be impossible to become an invisible hero and, therefore, a member of the pivot (a remnant of mature believers in a nation), which glorifies God.
The pivot is defined as the accumulation of mature believers living in a client nation or under civil government in a specific geographical location.
While a pivot is composed primarily of mature believers, it may also include those positive believers whose momentum has carried them into spiritual adulthood.
MAT 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty {again}? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.
MAT 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Without rebound as a problem-solving device,
it would be impossible to be filled with the Spirit, yet the Christian way of a life is a supernatural way of life and demands a supernatural means of execution.
Without rebound as a problem-solving device, the believer will end up being at least nine things:
(1) An enemy of the Cross (PHI 3:18)
(2) An enemy of God (JAM 4:4)
(3) Haters of God (JOH 15:23)
(4) Double-minded (JAM 4:8)
(5) Anti (against)-Christ (1JO 2:22,28; 1JO 4:3; 2JO 7)
(6) Carnal (1CO 3:3)
(7) A disciple of the devil (1JO 3:8,10)
(8) One who grieves the Holy Spirit (EPH 4:30)
(9) One who quenches the Holy Spirit (1TH 5:19)
It is based upon the following nine points that come from Sun Tzu’s principles on the Art of War.
1) The principle of objective = Plan
2) The principle of offensive = Victory
3) The principle of mass = Power
4) The principle of economy of force = Execution
5) The principle of movement = Momentum
6) The principle of surprise = Attack
7) The principle of security = Support
8) The principle of simplicity = Accuracy
9) The principle f cooperation = Teamwork
The importance of spiritual exercise which takes training and self-discipline for the Royal Family in the congregation of the local church which means:
1) Exercising self-discipline
2) Assembling together.
3) Concentrating on the teaching.
4) Having good manners.
5) Remaining silent in speech and action.
6) Not disturbing others.
7) Not moving around.
8) Practicing objectivity.
9) Persistence in spite of distraction.
Now, the # 9 is generally seen as a number indicating completeness.
The human period of conception and bringing forth life is nine months.
For example, a complete circle is 360 degrees and 3 + 6 + 0 = 9.
Christ's life was completed and He died in the ninth hour; Mat 27:45-46.
There are nine groups of people called blessed in the Sermon on the Mount; Mat 5:5-11.
The Bible could not be the thoughts of man written down on paper but instead it is a book that has been given by the Holy Spirit who inspired man to put what He says; 2Pe 1:19-21.
In 2TI 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed or inspired by God and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may become mature thoughly furnished unto all good works.
Numerology is used by God to reveal His genius and His supernatural wisdom for no man or angel could even think of such wisdom like Him.
1Jo 1:9 “If we acknowledge [admit, cite, name, confess] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and righteous with the result that He forgives our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness [sins of ignorance].”
Homologeo (acknowledge) originally meant to cite a courtroom case that proves one’s acceptance of that which they are confessing.
a believer acknowledges, names, or cites a case that went to court already – the court being the cross where the judgment of our sins were paid for by our Lord Jesus Christ.
As JER 3:13 says 'Only acknowledge your iniquity,
The sins of the believer fragment his life, which is tantamount to being out of fellowship with God, outside of the PPOG and no longer filled with the Holy Spirit.
You are simply doing exactly what God desires, which is to personally acknowledge your sins to God in the privacy of your own priesthood.
HEB 11:25 choosing rather to endure ill‑treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin;
When controlled by the old sin nature, we may try to improve ourselves, make vows, or try to make it up to God.
The legalist wants you to feel sorry for your sin and to make rash promises to never do it again (often a promise that you will break).
The legalist wants you to hurt because the legalistic Christian is basically full of malice.
He is disgusted with you and he is shocked by your sin and therefore, he wants you to pay for your sins and even burn.
This is the attitude of the moral degeneracy of Cosmic 2 (self-righteous judgmental legalistic) believers.
Legalism rejects God’s grace policy, a policy whereby God did all the work at salvation.
The work is accomplished by the OP of God the Father related to our invisible assets, by the OP of God the Son giving us one day at a time, and by the OP of God the H.S. to execute God’s plan.
So, the post-salvation sins of the believer must be dealt with in grace through a non-meritorious act which we call rebound.
COL 2:6 As you have received the Lord Jesus (by grace through faith) so walk in Him (by grace through faith – especially when it comes to rebound).
Prin: The most basic problem-solving device for believers is rebound whereby we simply admit or cite or name or acknowledge our sins to God in the privacy of our priesthood.
Second prin: Just as there is nothing we can add to faith in Christ for salvation, so there is nothing we can add to the acknowledgement of our sins for rebound and recovery of our fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Third prin: Both believing in Christ for salvation and simply acknowledging our sins for forgiveness are non‑meritorious acts.
(1) Acknowledge or confess known sin (1JO 1:9).
(2) Isolate the sin in HEB 12:15 “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no root of bitterness sprouting up cause trouble, and through this [bitterness] life] many are defiled or contaminated.
(3) Forget the sin = Phi 3:13, “Brethren, I do not evaluate myself to have attained, but I do concentrate on one thing: forgetting those sins which are behind, and pressing toward those things which are ahead [execution of the PPOG].”
(4) Keep moving forward spiritually = Phi 3:14, “I keep advancing toward the objective for the prize of that upward call from God in Christ Jesus.”
The conclusion from this verse is that, if you are still alive after you name your sins, God intends for you to advance spiritually from that moment on!
The results of rebound are as follows:
(a) You are restored to fellowship with God.
(b) You have recovered the filling of the Spirit.
(c) You have reentered the PPOG.
(1) “If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged” (1CO 11:31).
(2) Rom 6:13 and 12:1 teach the concept “to yield or to present yourselves ” -- which refers to the rebound technique as the means of reentry into the PPOG,
(3) “Lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily entangles us” (HEB 12:1).
(4) “Be subject to the Father of our spirits” (HEB 12:9).
(5) “Lift up the hands that hang down” (HEB 12:12).
(6) “Make straight paths” (MAT 3:3, HEB 12:13).
(7) “Arise from the dead” (EPH 5:14).
(8) Laying aside the old man – Eph 4:22 “lay aside the old man which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit.
Problem-solving Device Number Two: The Filling of the Holy Spirit.
