1. a. Demon influence is demonization of the soul and personality of the believer or unbeliever living in the cosmic system.
  2. b. Demon influence is thought transference of demon doctrine to the believer or unbeliever in the cosmic system.

All three of these can be the result of demon influence and Paul says that the Corinthians could fall into demonic influence, you bear this beautifully.

  1. c. Demon influence is the invasion of the soul, especially the mind, emotion, and self‑consciousness of the soul.
  2. d. Demon influence isn't expressed in terms of evil, but in terms of improving this world, doing nice things for your fellow man, and supporting crusades.
  3. e. Demon influence is the policy and principles by which Satan operated prior to the creation of man and afterwards as the ruler of this world.

Point 2.  The Cosmic System is Satan's Classroom for Demon Influence.

Cosmic one emphasizes preoccupation with self, having many categories of arrogance.

Cosmic two emphasizes antagonism toward the truth.

Point 3.  The Distinction Between Demon Influence and Demon Possession.

In demon possession, the body of the unbeliever is indwelt by a demon or a group of demons, resulting in normal or abnormal living.

In demon influence, Satan commands demons to attack the body through demon‑induced illness.

Point 4. Mandates against Demon Influence; EPH 4:27; JAM 4:6‑8.

EPH 4:27 and do not give the devil an opportunity or the Greek word says don’t give a topos which is a room in your soul for demonic influence.

Point 5.  Demon Influence is Relative.

The degrees of demon influence correspond to the degrees of apostasy.

The longer one resides in the cosmic system without rebound and recovery, the greater the degree of demon influence.

Demon influence is a process of demonization in which every facet of the soul is eventually controlled by demonic doctrines.

Sociopathic means that the individual has a personality that is aggressively antisocial.

Psychopathic means that the individual is characterized by emotional instability, lack of sound judgment and perverse and impulsive behavior.

Point 6. is where we are and it deals with The False Doctrine of Demon Influence.

Achievement belongs to God;
Happiness, from Occupation with Christ, belongs to the believer.

Demon influence reverses this principle and says "achievement belongs to me; therefore, “I will be happy as long as I live."

"being firm in your faith or doctrine self‑disciplined"  means being organized.

Your organization starts in your thinking first; that requires categorical teaching of doctrine.

Self‑discipline is important to remain in the PPOG and reject demon influence when it attacks.

There is also a parallel between our Lord delegating authority in the human race, and Satan "prowling around" and delegating authority to disembodied spirits that we call demons.

Achievement arrogance is the blasphemy of taking achievement away from God and placing it in your own hands.

Arrogance motivates to strive for success and to compete from inordinate ambition.

In this process, Bible doctrine is neglected, virtue is ignored, happiness is rejected, and demon influence becomes the order of the day.

Arrogance is the direct route to demon influence; it is the demoralization as well as the demonization of the soul.

Point 7.  The Avoidance of Demon Influence.

Demon influence can only be avoided through life in the PPOG for the believer.

Resistance is a matter of learning doctrine.

Therefore, there are four R's in spiritual metabolism.
A.  Reception.
B.  Retention.
C.  Recall.
D.  Resistance.

What really counts is retention, which is gnosis doctrine converted into epignosis doctrine.

Then, at recall, you can apply any percentage of what you retained.

To resist demonization, you must have the first three steps, perception, metabolization, and retention.

Ignorance cannot make application to experience; it can only emote in the face of testing or disaster.

The Canaanitish nations were destroyed for demon activity, DEU 18:9-12.

One of the signs of a nation going into the fifth cycle of discipline is the revival of demonism in that nation.

The practice of necromancy and witchcraft is a sign of negative volition toward doctrine and it can result in the sin unto death as in the case of King Saul in 1CH 10:13-14.

Demonism can eventuate in the fifth cycle of discipline, ISA 29:4; 47:1-15.

Evil is associated with the rule of demonism, as in the case of Mannaseh, 2KI 21:1-16; JER 27:6-10.

Nebuchadnezzar going to Jerusalem on the basis of divination, EZE 21:21.

EZE 21:21 "For the king of Babylon stands at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination; he shakes the arrows, he consults the household idols, he looks at the liver.

The third attack of “avoiding demon influence is found in the phrase “inflated without cause by his fleshly mind” has to do with hallucination called visions here.

” being inflated without cause” means taken his stand is really “intruding on his stand because we have the present active participle of embateuo which means to relate what one has seen in a vision and to take a stand on what one has seen under ecstatic’s or emotional instability.

So, under demon influence someone has a vision or goes into a state of ecstatic’s and begins to hallucinate and form false doctrines on the basis of that hallucination.

The first is that Satan attacks the authority of the Bible.

He says that what you dream, what you have in a trance, what you see when you get ecstatic, is just as real or more real than what the Bible says.

2PE 1:19 And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

It is an attack upon the authority of the Word of God.

It emphasizes that feelings and ecstatic experiences as having merit because how you feel is more important than what the Bible says.

The phrase inflated without cause by his fleshly mind is a present passive participle of ‎phusioo which means  “being inflated with arrogance.”

The passive voice indicates the subject, the reversionistic believer, receives the action of the verb through one of these attacks of religion.

“by his fleshly mind,” means under the influence of the   old sin nature.

COL 2:18  “Let no one deprive you of reward taking pleasure in self-effacement and in worship of angels, taking a stand on those things which you have seen, being inflated with arrogance under the influence of the  his old sin nature.”

The phrase “in a true knowledge of God's mystery, {that is,} Christ {Himself} should be translated “through epignosis of mystery doctrine about Christ.

The only wealth worth having is the wealth that God provides in escrow blessings.

In this momentum test, there is always the temptation to take the easy route of money, security, fame, and lose forever the conveyance of your escrow blessings.

There is always the disaster that will make you prosperous.

There must be maximum faith, maximum spiritual self-esteem, maximum spiritual maturity if you are going to have your escrow blessing and pass the disaster test.

As Jeremiah said in JER 17:17 “Thou art my refuge in the day of disaster."

PSA 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the Lord.

Trust in the Lord is called a sacrifice because in time of disaster the tendency is to trust in yourself!

PSA 50:14 says the same thing, "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High;

PSA 50:15  And call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me."

  1. 5. People testing.

(a) In personal love or admiration, the object of your love often controls your life or provides for you unhappiness.

In wanting to please the object of your personal love, you find yourself being a different person and not following your normal standards and functions.

(b) Personal hatred or animosity where the object of your antagonism or irritation often has control of your life or happiness, unless you have advanced to occupation with Christ.

Under the PPOG, God designed his plan so that your happiness will always reside in you, and you do not depend on people or things for your happiness.

You are supposed to have personal control of your life, a personal sense of destiny, self‑confidence from metabolized doctrine, and therefore, poise and command of self.

You bring your happiness to others, but do not lean on others or circumstances for your happiness.

Unless you attain spiritual adulthood, every time you fall in love or acquire a friend, the object controls your life and your happiness.

When you fall in love, look how you act, how you change your modus operandi, your manner of operation and how you begin to think in different terms relating everything you do to that person.

You've manufactured for yourself many problems, and they're not all the fault of the object.

The solution to people testing is found in the combination of personal love for God and impersonal love for all mankind.

Spiritual autonomy is the prerequisite for solving all problems of human relationship, i.e., of people testing, also accompanied by system and thought testing.

Occupation with Christ as a problem-solving device belongs primarily to the spiritual adult.

You surrender the control of your life to that person.

You become a slave to the object of your antagonism or love.

At the same time, you have no control over your life, canceling all the characteristics of spiritual self-esteem and spiritual autonomy.

Occupation with Christ as a problem-solving device is the secret of your relationship with God, mankind, and in personal love.

There is no built‑in virtue in personal love, which only requires that another meet your standards of beauty, attractiveness, and rapport.

Personal love is only a virtue when directed toward God.

Impersonal love is only a virtue when directed toward all mankind as a supernatural means to do so, which is occupation with Christ.

This means that through impersonal love, the believer has control of his own life and he maintains control of his own happiness.

Disappointment, disillusion, frustration, dissatisfaction with others under the principle of misery derived from getting your eyes on people.

Once you attain spiritual adulthood and begin to function under the three categories of suffering for blessing, God becomes the source of your blessings because you are occupied with Christ.

People can only become a distraction to the fulfillment of God's plan for your life when human relationship becomes more important to you than Bible doctrine.

False priorities exist when social life, business life, sexual life takes precedence over your residence, function, and momentum inside the PPOG.

Whether it's love or hatred, attraction or animosity, romance or disenchantment, friendship or disillusion, these can distract you from the fulfillment of the PPOG and the glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As suffering for blessing, it is the only way to bring tranquility into your life to make your relationships wonderful and worthwhile.

The reaction factor in personality conflict becomes a source of great irritation and misery to most believers today when it comes to people testing.

The reaction in personality conflict is generally expressed through the arrogance complex as hatred, bitterness, maligning, judging, revenge motivation and function, all a source of terrible unhappiness.

When you react to people in some form of antagonism, they immediately have control over your life, so that you resort to either mental or verbal hostility or even violence.

They destroy the person who has control over their life, and at the same time they destroy their own happiness when you are frustrated and react from any phase of the arrogance complex.

Response and reaction to people become a distraction to momentum in the plan of God.

Response results in cosmic evangelism, whereas reaction leads to motivational and functional evil.

To avoid reaction in personality conflict, you must reside in your very own plan under the enabling power of the Spirit, with momentum from metabolized doctrine.

When you can utilize occupation with Christ as a problem-solving device, you have made the greatest stride in your spiritual life.

Since happiness is the monopoly of God and His plan, you cannot depend upon people or circumstances for your happiness.

When you become upset with someone, you surrender the custody of your happiness to that person.

When you blame them for your unhappiness, which is produced by your own volition, you have intensified the suffering in your life under the law of volitional responsibility.

HOS 8:7 For they sow the wind [nothing], And they reap the whirlwind [nothing]. The standing grain has no heads [no true fruit; It yields no grain. Should it yield fruits [demonic influence], strangers would swallow it up.

Like Satan, in people testing, people roar like a roaring lion seeking other believers to devour.

Grace disappears and they try to mold the life of those around them through legalism.

You can no longer deal with your problems from the strength of your own priesthood, as the believer grows spiritually in the PPOG,……

He becomes aware of this pattern, rebounds quickly, and any suffering left over he can scoop up for blessing as he moves on!

PHI 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

The real solution is related to occupation with Christ  as a problem-solving device, which is for spiritual adulthood only.

Believers in spiritual childhood do not have personal love for God or impersonal love for all mankind.

With the attainment of spiritual autonomy through spiritual self-esteem plus providential preventative suffering, you begin to peak out in the use of occupation with Christ as a problem-solving device.

Without being sustained by impersonal love from occupation with Christ, all human relationships are vulnerable to the tragic flaw syndrome.

The tragic flaw syndrome can be detrimental and distracting unless you advance to spiritual self-esteem and spiritual autonomy.

You make your own decisions in your choice of friends and loved ones but thereafter, they begin to make all the decisions for you unless you have the function of impersonal love with occupation with Christ.

Satan does that through passages like 2CO 11:2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

2CO 11:3 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness [demonic influence], your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

2CO 11:4 For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.

All three of these principles are the result of demon influence.

Another Jesus whom we have not preached.

A different spirit which you have not received.

A different gospel which you have not accepted.

Demon influence is also defined for us beginning in 2CO 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

2CO 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

2CO 11:15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds.

Still under Point 1, a definition

This results in a complete personality change to some form of sociopathic or psychopathic personality.

1PE 5:5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

1PE 5:6   Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you or promote you at the proper time,

1PE 5:7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.

1PE 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

1PE 5:9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

When it says in 1PE 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert because the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

But as 1PE 5:9 (says) But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

This means that.

But…..

Therefore, achievement arrogance destroys human happiness and replaces it with boasting and gloating ambition.

Since achievement belongs to God, God provides achievement with true happiness, but only inside the PPOG.

This leads us to our last point in our doctrine of demon influence.

But…..

Therefore, we need to avoid demon influence by noting the different ways that demon influence can bring forth destruction.

DEU 18:9   "When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.

DEU 18:10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [Molech, the god of fire], one who uses divination [ESP foretelling the future], one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

There are your omens and sorceries which come from demon possession and demon influence.

DEU 18:11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

DEU 18:12 "For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you.

1CH 10:13   So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against the Lord, because of the word of the Lord which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium, making inquiry of it,

1CH 10:14 and did not inquire of the Lord. Therefore, He killed him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

Under the avoidance of Demon Influence notice what happens to those believers who allow themselves to be influenced by demons.

ISA 29:4 Then you shall be brought low; From the earth you shall speak, And from the dust {where} you are prostrate, Your words {shall come.} Your voice shall also be like that of a spirit from the ground, And your speech shall whisper from the dust.

Go forward to ISA 47:1 "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; Sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no longer be called tender and delicate.

ISA 47:2 "Take the millstones and grind meal. Remove your veil, strip off the skirt, Uncover the leg, cross the rivers.

ISA 47:3 "Your nakedness will be uncovered, Your shame also will be exposed; I will take vengeance and will not spare a man."

ISA 47:4 Our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.

ISA 47:5 "Sit silently, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you will no more be called The queen of kingdoms.

ISA 47:6 "I was angry with My people, I profaned My heritage, And gave them into your hand. You did not show mercy to them, On the aged you made your yoke very heavy.

ISA 47:7 "Yet you said, 'I shall be a queen forever.' These things you did not consider, Nor remember the outcome of them.

ISA 47:8   "Now, then, hear this, you sensual one, Who dwells securely, Who says in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one besides me. I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know loss of children.'

ISA 47:9 "But these two things shall come on you suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They shall come on you in full measure In spite of your many sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.

ISA 47:10 "And you felt secure in your wickedness and said, 'No one sees me,' Your wisdom and your knowledge, they have deluded you; For you have said in your heart,' I am, and there is no one besides me. '

ISA 47:11 "But evil will come on you Which you will not know how to charm away; And disaster will fall on you For which you cannot atone, And destruction about which you do not know Will come on you suddenly.

ISA 47:12   "Stand {fast} now in your spells And in your many sorceries With which you have labored from your youth; Perhaps you will be able to profit, Perhaps you may cause trembling.

ISA 47:13 "You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, Those who prophesy by the stars, Those who predict by the new moons, Stand up and save you from what will come upon you.

ISA 47:14 "Behold, they have become like stubble, Fire burns them; They cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame; There will be no coal to warm by, {Nor} a fire to sit before!

ISA 47:15 "So have those become to you with whom you have labored, Who have trafficked with you from your youth; Each has wandered in his own way. There is none to save you.

2KI 21:1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty‑five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hephzibah.

2KI 21:2 And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

2KI 21:3 For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel had done, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
2KI 21:4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the   Lord had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name."

2KI 21:5 For he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.

2KI 21:6 And he made his son pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and used divination, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord provoking Him to anger.

2KI 21:7 Then he set the carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the Lord said to David and to his son Solomon, "In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.

2KI 21:8 "And I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them."

2KI 21:9 But they did not listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do evil more than the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the sons of Israel.

2KI 21:10   Now the Lord spoke through His servants the prophets, saying,

2KI 21:11 "Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all the Amorites did who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols;

2KI 21:12 therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I am bringing such calamity on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

2KI 21:13 'And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

2KI 21:14 'And I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall become as plunder and spoil to all their enemies;

2KI 21:15 because they have done evil in My sight, and have been provoking Me to anger, since the day their fathers came from Egypt, even to this day. ' "
2KI 21:16   Moreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

This was all the result of what happens when a believer is influenced by demon activity.

Still under Point 7, the avoidance of Demon Influence we have…….

Turn to COL 2:16   Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day‑‑

COL 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

And then our subject of demon influence is given beginning in COL 2:18  Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self‑abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,

In other words, this is an extreme form of religious activity.

This attack of religion is based upon two principles.

Peter said in

A lot of believers forget the importance of the Word of God.

This is where the holy-rollers get into the picture.

So,

Secondly,

The corrected translation of verse 18 is as follows,

That concludes the seven points on the doctrine of Demon Influence.

COL 2:1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf [that is on behalf of the believers in Colosse], and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face,

COL 2:2 that their hearts may be encouraged, [How?] having been knit together in love [that is virtue love], and {attaining} to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding [confidence], {resulting} in a true knowledge of God's mystery, {that is,} Christ {Himself},

COL 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

COL 2:4  I say this in order that no one may delude you with persuasive argument.

This is also a test.

Because you lose the chance of receiving your escrow blessings.

In disaster testing, it can be very difficult to trust in the Lord and not fight back or seek revenge and self- survival and that's why PSA 4:5 says.

The fifth test is:

People testing comes in two categories.

Unless, of course, you have attained occupation with Christ at spiritual self-esteem, spiritual autonomy, or spiritual maturity.

The second category of people testing is;

As a function of your royal priesthood, it all comes from within.

Therefore…….,

People are easily led away from the PPOG and doctrine by their friendships, love life, and even hatred.

So,

Without impersonal love from spiritual autonomy, you become a slave to people.

So, when you make a friend or fall in love, when you become jealous, possessive, when you hate anyone who has it over you; you've immediately become a slave.

This combination only exists in the three stages of spiritual adulthood.

Without it, you are constantly surrendering the control of your life to others.

When you become jealous, angry, bitter, vindictive, or implacable;

When you are dissatisfied, antagonistic toward someone else, friend or stranger, lover or enemy;

You are failing the people test if this happens.

When someone else has control of your life through hatred or love, you enter into the law of volitional responsibility with its self‑induced misery.

Therefore, to make a personal love relationship work, the believer must use a virtue base totally outside himself otherwise, people will make him miserable all his life.

Therefore,

However,

When personal ambition is stronger than Bible doctrine, then the believer has lost his scale of values, his priorities.

So,

That is unless you have passed momentum testing.

Momentum testing is a fantastic blessing from God.

To recover control, you must have occupation with Christ with impersonal love.

Most believers never get this far.

Therefore,

This means you must derive your happiness from occupation with Christ and from His plan.

When that happens, then all the pieces of the puzzle fall in place and your relationships in life become wonderful.

This will bring you to spiritual adulthood when you have great happiness even while suffering for blessing.

Occupation with Christ with impersonal love is the most obscure and underrated factor in the spiritual life today.

So, if you surrender your happiness to someone else, you will blame that person for everything that goes wrong in your life.

In personal love or hatred, the object controls your life.

You have forgotten

That is how you pass people testing with occupation with Christ.

Up until you reach spiritual adulthood, you become aware that you are a person with a relationship with God.

You realize God intends for you to be blessed, and for you to be strong in every situation in life.

There are very few people who actually have control of their own lives; yet that is normal Christianity.

Their lives are controlled by the objects of their affection.

So, there are very few believers who are spiritually self‑sustaining.
