Mal 1:6 “ ‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My respect?’ says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, ‘How have we despised Your name?’

The Hebrew word is bazah, it means to despise. It is a mental attitude expressing itself. First of all you think it and then you do it.

Mal 1:7You are presenting defiled food upon My altar. But you say, ‘How have we defiled You?’ In that you say, ‘The table of the LORD is to be despised.’

Mal 1:8 “But when you present the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you present the lame and sick, is it not evil? Why not offer it to your governor? Would he be pleased with you? Or would he receive you kindly?” says the LORD of hosts.

The word for polluted means leavened bread. The bread speaks of the person of Christ; the animals speak of the work of Christ. This would mean Christ was a sinner (polluted)- His work (Cross) was defective.

Church leaders today do this by allowing anti-Christian attitudes, lifestyles and inappropriate doctrines developed in the cosmic system to infiltrate their teachings.

But they say, “The whole meaning of the table of shewbread is contemptible to us, so as long as we have bread on there it doesn’t make any difference what kind of bread it is.”

An apathetic attitude about the things of God is a sign you are already deep down a path of self-induced misery. Once the apathy sets in to your lifestyle then comes the frustration toward God which is followed by anger or hostility toward truth.

Pro 23:1 When you sit down to dine with a ruler, consider carefully what is before you,

Beware those who you allow to influence your soul! Be careful of the situations you commit too.

Pro 23:3 Do not desire his delicacies,
for it is deceptive food.

Everything is not what it seems on the surface.

Pro 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.

Heb 13:9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.

1Cor 4:16 Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me.

1Cor 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.

Phi 3:17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.

2Th 3:4 We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will continue to do what we command.

2Th 3:7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined manner among you,

Your church leadership and its agenda should revolve around the word of God, accuracy & integrity in the teaching of the word is of dire importance. Not social, political or denominational philosophy.

The cosmic system will promote the church and spiritual leaders who put social justice, political agendas and popular opinion on the marque instead of accurate truth from scripture.

The congregation failed to test the doctrine coming from the pulpit and they continued to support (time, talent & treasure) false teaching.

Greed – usually from the leadership first which spreads to the congregation. They desire more wealth, more popularity & attention from the world.

Disrespect for the office of Pastor-teacher, starting with the pastor himself! They enjoy the fellowship and flowery speeches but do not put in the hours and effort to study properly. Those under their authority will eventually disrespect them as well.

The pastor-leadership have an agenda to justify their own lifestyle or what they have come to believe (denominations) to be true so they alter the word of God to suit that agenda & personal desires.
