“so” “ou@tw” [houtos] “so in this way” or “therefore.”

ISA 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

JOH 12:43 “for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.”

JOB 14:14 “If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait, Until my change comes.”

JOB 19:25 “And as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.”

DAN 12:2 “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace {and} everlasting contempt.”

“stand fast” = pres/act/imp = sthvkete [stekete] = to stand firm, or be stabilized, to persevere, to persist; it is used for a military organization under fire and under pressure.

We are to stand firm, be stabilized, and to persevere, when someone is judging us, ROM 14:4.

1CO 16:13 “Be on the alert, stand firm in doctrine, act like men, be strong.”

GAL 5:1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”

You are advancing or retreating, but you never stand in the same spot.
