The Davidic Coveneant. Part 3.
Friday, January 4, 2008
Through Joseph Christ would become the legal heir to the throne of David, and through Mary Christ would become the royal heir to the throne of David.
1. The Abrahamic covenant defines the race for client nation Israel. Abraham became a Jew at age 99; circumcision was the sign.
2. The Palestinian covenant defines the land for client nation Israel. This is the real estate of the client nation in the Millennium.
3. The Davidic covenant defines the dynasty for client nation Israel. This says that the seed of the woman, the humanity of Christ, will descend from the tribe of Judah through the family of David.
4. The New covenant defines the restoration of the client nation Israel at the Second Advent and its millennial modus operandi. This part of the contract is not operational until the Second Advent.
1TH 5:24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
PHI 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
1CO 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha.
God communicates to us through warning discipline so that we will turn from our evil ways, be forgiven, and come back to Him.
PSA 91:4 He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
ISA 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.
ISA 5:24 Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, And dry grass collapses into the flame, So their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust; For they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Everything that God says will be fulfilled.
ROM 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
Advanced techniques result from a mastery of the basics.
Jesus Christ is a King who rules by the law of grace.
ROM 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
First of all, I see the King of grace in the choice of one woman. LUK 1:30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor [charis - grace] with God.”
TLJC had to be a Savior to her as well as a Son to her. LUK 1:28 the angel said to her, “Hail, you who are empowered with grace! The Lord {is} with you.” LUK 1:46-47 “My soul exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.”
Note God’s grace in that He chose a sinner to be His own mother.
We also see the grace of the King not only in the choice of one woman but in the seed of two men.
He was an adulterer, a polygamist. A murderer. A man who was sexually tormented by women.
A rotten father!
Abraham who lies about his wife in Egypt and brought them both into shame. Abraham who disbelieved God and committed adultery with Hagar. Again in Gerah, Abraham lied about Sarah his wife and gave her to the king saying that she was just his sister.
God used these two, one to father the nation of the Messiah, the other to father the royal line; Jesus is the son of David, the son of Abraham
