DEBUNKING
ROMAN CATHOLICISM
A Counterfeit to Christianity
LUK 6:40
“A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.”
ACT 2:23 …this Man (the Lord Jesus Christ), delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God (the Father)…
PHI 2:5-6 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He (the Lord Jesus Christ) existed in the form of God (in essence as Deity), did not regard equality with God (the Father) a thing to be grasped (a gain to be seized and held) but emptied Himself (deprived Himself of the rightful function of Deity), taking the form of a bond-servant (made Himself of no reputation), and being made in the likeness of men (receiving it…taking it on) Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled (took on humiliation unto Himself) Himself by becoming obedient (by His voluntary choice) to the point of (spiritual) death, even death on a cross.
parakletos
JOH 16:13-14 “But when He, (God) the (Holy) Spirit of truth (bible doctrine), comes, He will guide you into all the (whole realm of) truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears (the Father’s plan and the Son’s thinking), He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.”
JOH 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
HEB 4:12 The word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, of the joints and marrow, and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2TI 3:16-17 All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
1CO 2:16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
PHI 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus
EPH 4:11 And He gave some as…pastors and teachers
EPH 4:12-13 …for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
EPH 4:14-16 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
HEB 10:25 …not forsaking our own assembling together (under your Pastor’s authority), as is the habit of some, but (let your consistent study of doctrine be) encouraging (to) one another; and all the more (necessary) as you see the day drawing near.
A teacher affects eternity…he can never tell where his influence stops. Henry Brooks Adams
2CO 11:4a “For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we (Paul) have not preached (and many will)…”
2CO 11:4c For if one comes and preaches (and they will) a different gospel
1TI 6:3 If anyone (like the Roman Catholic Church), advocates a different doctrine (and they do), and does not agree with sound words
(doctrines from Scripture, the Word of God), those (doctrines) of our
Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness
(Eusebeia…the Christian Way of life)
CCC 119
…the manner of interpreting Scripture is ultimately subject to the judgment of the Roman Catholic Church which exercises the divinely conferred commission and ministry of watching over and interpreting the Word of God.
MAT 24:11 “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.”
1TI 4:1-2 But (God) the (Holy) Spirit explicitly says that in later times some (believers in Christ) will fall away from the faith (bible doctrines), paying attention to deceitful spirits (seductive teachers) and (concentrating on) doctrines of demons,//by means of (from the source of) the hypocrisy of liars (Roman Catholic priests and other false teachers, thus becoming) seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron (evil)
1CO 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
LUK 6:40 “A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.”
GAL 6:4 But each one must examine his own work (divine good production against God’s Righteous Standards), and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone (rejoicing inside himself), and not (from rejoicing) in regard to (comparison with) another.
2TI 4:3-5 For the time will come when they (believers who are casualties in the Angelic Conflict) will not endure (listen willingly to) sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled (subjectivity in learning), they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires (lusts), and will turn away their ears from the truth (of bible doctrine) and will turn aside to myths (like Roman Catholicism). But you, be sober (self disciplined) in all things (especially the intake of the Word of God), endure hardship, do the work of (train people to be) an evangelist, fulfill your ministry (completely until the end).
Roman Catholicism IS NOT Christianity
Roman Catholicism is sponsored by Satan, the enemy of God.
Roman Catholicism is one of Satan’s tactical systems of thought and is designed to deceive Roman Catholics into thinking they are saved when they are not, and into thinking that they have the truth when they do not.
Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to mankind.
Roman Catholics are WILLINGLY living their lives in a web of deceit.
The Roman Catholic web of deceit, over time, turns into a web of delusion, a FIXED false belief.
Many Roman Catholics do not want the truth. No matter who
the messenger is…no matter the message…those who do not want the truth WILL NOT hear it. Arrogance is not teachable.
When confronted with the truth, most Roman Catholics simply look the other way. One billion Roman Catholics are looking the other way when
it is suggested that Roman Catholicism is a lie, and that they are voluntarily enslaved by the Roman Catholic system of tyranny and guilt.
MAT 7:13 …for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction (dependence on human good works to get into heaven), and there are many who enter through it.
HEB 4:12 The word of God…sharper than any two-edged sword and (the Word of God is) piercing…
Can a Roman Catholic
be a Christian?
CCC 491 (abbreviated)
Through the centuries the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, “full of grace” through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception…preserved immune from all stain of (Adam’s) original sin.
CCC 493 (abbreviated) By the grace of God, Mary remained free of every personal sin her whole life long. As St. Irenaeus says, “Being obedient she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race.”
CCC 969 (abbreviated) Taken up (bodily assumed) to
heaven she (Mary) did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation… Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix.”
Roman Catholics believe they must DO several things to be saved…membership in the Church…the sacraments…the Eucharist…keeping the Ten Commandments…buying indulgences…going to purgatory, good works…water baptism.
Better said, a Roman Catholic must do a checklist of things to KEEP FROM GOING TO HELL
CCC 846 (abbreviated) Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation…hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.
CCC 1129 The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments
of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation
CCC 1405 (abbreviated) Every time this mystery (the Eucharist) is celebrated, “the work of our redemption is carried on” and we “break the one bread that provides the medicine of immortality, the antidote for death, and the food that makes us live for ever in Jesus Christ.”
CCC 2068 (abbreviated) The Council of Trent teaches that the Ten Commandments are obligatory for Christians…so that all men may attain salvation through faith, (through water) Baptism and (through) the observance of the (Ten) Commandments.
CCC 1498 Through (purchasing) indulgences the faithful (Roman Catholics) can obtain the remission (forgiveness…a lesser sentence) of temporal punishment resulting from sin for themselves and also for the
souls in Purgatory.
CCC 1030 All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification (in Purgatory), so as to achieve
the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.
CCC 2010 (abbreviated) Moved by the Holy Spirit and by charity, we can then merit for ourselves and for others (through good works) the graces needed for our sanctification (salvation)
CCC 1256 (abbreviated) …anyone, even a non-baptized person, with the required intention, can baptize…the intention required is to will to do what the church does when she baptizes. The Church finds…the necessity of (water) Baptism for salvation.
CCC 1861 (abbreviated) Mortal sin is a radical possibility of human freedom…it results in the loss of sanctifying grace (a term for salvation), that is, of the state of grace (a requirement for entrance to heaven)…if it (the state of grace) is not redeemed by (the work of) repentance (penance…the sacrament of confession) and God’s (subsequent) forgiveness, it causes exclusion from Christ’s kingdom (heaven) and the eternal death of hell (the Lake of Fire), for our freedom (volition) has the power to make choices forever, with no turning back.
JOH 10:28 …and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
ROM 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,// nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2TI 2:24-26 The Lord’s bond-servant (a Pastor) must not be quarrelsome (belligerent), but be kind (gracious and objective) to all, able to teach (skillfully), patient when wronged (persevering in the face of evil),//with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition (to biblical teaching), if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,//and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
ROM 10:17 So faith comes from hearing (the Gospel Message, and hearing (comes) by (listening to) the word of Christ.
2CO 3:16 …but whenever a person turns to the Lord (by believing), the veil (scar tissue of the soul) is taken away.
LUK 4:18 “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED”
Negative Volition
JOH 8:43-45 “Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. “But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.”
LUK 15:7 “I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (who has a change of mind about Christ) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
MAT 5:17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.”
JOH 10:10 I came that they (believers in Christ) may have life, and
have it abundantly.
MAT 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
HEB 4:1 Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
HEB 12:15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God
EPH 4:1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called
