1Th 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
en panti - , translated " in connection with everything that occurs in your life, give thanks," --- no matter what it might be.

Did you ever stop and think about "what if" as to "what if" you ever had to go through what Job went through, "should you" or really "could you" give thanks for all those things?

Did he give thanks for "all things" or did he fail at certain times when God called him to testify in the courtroom of heaven to bring glory to God?"

He lost a lot, he lost all his children, all his servants, all his wealth, and even all his health, Job 1:1-21.

JOB 2:9 Then his wife [and I personally do not believe that she was his beshert, his soul mate, or his destiny given to him by God] she said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!"

When his wife said that to Job, he was going through a lot of undeserved suffering that could have caused him to quit and throw in the towel.

JOB 40:8 "Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified?
Throughout the Bible, there is case after case of man's failure with God and God's faithfulness to man and the faithfulness of God to us and what we should all be thankful for.

What is one of the most important things, if not the most important thing or principle of doctrine, that you and I should be thankful for?

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is why I do not believe that 1Jo 1:9 is not a verse for the unbeliever and a verse that God takes lightly, but, a verse as a statement of familiarity, but it is a verse that those who deny Him even to the point of mocking Him.

I personally believe that 1Jo 1:9 is a precious verse given to the believer that should cause the believer to be extremely grateful for.

1Jo 1:9 cannot be a verse for the unbeliever concerning salvation for that would change the entire means or object of our salvation, who is our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

If someone can be saved by simply obeying 1Jo 1:9 then almost anyone can be saved simply by naming or confessing their sins or their faults, including atheists.

If 1Jo 1:9 is for "whosoever" then even an atheist can be saved.....for it would mean 1Jo 1:9 If we [atheist], confess our sins,

1Jo 1:9 If we [Mormons], confess our sins, If we [Buddhist], confess our sins, If we [JW's], confess our sins, If we [Christian Scientist], confess our sins,

If we [Muslims, no matter who we are], confess our sins,

In 1Jo 1:9, where do we see the object of our faith, TLJC?

Where do we see the word faith and where do we see the word grace? No where!

EPH 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

ACT 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household."

JOH 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

ACT 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."

JOH 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

JOH 20:31 but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

No where do I see that all I have to do is confess my sins and because "I am humble enough" to recognize that I sin, I can be saved!

ROM 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;

That's the only thing you need to confess ----- not your sins, but your Savior!

1Jo 1:9 is one of the most precious verses in the Bible and one that God would never just cast His pearl of salvation upon the unbeliever lightly as a pearl given to swine.

MAT 7:6 "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

When a person says that 1Jo 1:9 is for the unbeliever and not the believer that, that it is to say that God is casting His pearls before swine.

Do not ask God to come into your life because He will not come into a corpse.

Believers are no longer standing; They are no longer "courageous," They no longer "know" what to believe..., they "do not know how to hold on to it," therefore, compromise results.

We have faith plus commitment being taught. We have faith plus water baptism; Faith plus making Christ Lord of all;

Instead of faith, some propose substitutes like inviting Christ into your heart.

You can't invite Christ into a sewer, and the "heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked," Jer 17:9.

Repentance means a change of mind and indicates what happens when you understand the Gospel through the ministry of God the Holy Spirit and you repent or have a change of mind about the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible only emphasizes believe - and then you add nothing to it!

Which means that you can't be saved by water baptism, by renouncing sin, by joining a church, by psychological gimmicks like raising your hand and walking an aisle.

When you add anything to faith in Christ for salvation, that is salvation by works which is not salvation at all.

Do I really believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely and uniquely inspired, and totally accurate and inerrant?

Whether or not you believe that there are 8 PSD's or 10 PSD's or 15 or 20 PSD's, ,,,, that that is not the issue?

JOB 40:8 "Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified? " They are novices - the Greek word in 1Ti 3:6 is the adjective neophutos meaning those who are disqualified compared to those who have the gift of pastor-teacher.

It also comes to mean a plant from those who are spiritually immature and who cannot lead people past their his own spiritual immaturity and are like what our Lord said as the blind misleading the blind.

Proselyte = they try and convince other that they should follow them with their so-called correct teachings!

No matter how many problem solving devices you may believe in, none of them can function without the most precious one, PSD #1 Rebound, which leads us to PSD #2, the Filling of the Holy Spirit and the principle of rebound and recovery!

For the cross is the ultimate manifestation of the pearls of God.

"1Jo 1:9 is not a precious PSD for the believer but an invitation to the ungodly and unholy to be saved --- is to disregard and take lightly the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross.

1CO 3:12 Now if any man builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

Notice that TLJC is called a precious corner stone, And he who believes in Him shall not be disappointed."

Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge or metabolized doctrine of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence or virtue.

All these things come from the precious and magnificent promises from God.|

2PE 1:4 For by these [Grace and peace, being multiplied by means of epignosis doctrine (MD)] and His divine power (OP) He has granted to us everything pertaining to this life and godliness, (the spiritual life) Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

And these precious promises are from Him to us, and we should believe that is for us as believers and His pearl of forgiveness, because of the finished of TLJC.

My point is that 1Jo 1:9 is not a gem that God casts upon the swine of unbelievers who could care less about Him and it because they have no idea of it, but a precious promise for us to believe and apply!
