The quail was stacked 36" deep on the surface of the ground....about a yard high and over 40 miles.

They really went all out with the lust of their flesh while ignoring God's gracious provision.

Kibroth-hattaavah literally means the graves of the lustful or the greedy.

Definition and Description. Lust is the overwhelming desire for something; a passionate desire; an illicit, uncontrolled, overwhelming desire which originates from the old sin nature and gains the cooperation of your volition.

The categories of the sin nature include:

  1. The area of weakness - the source of all temptation and sin.
  2. The area of strength - the source of all human good and dead works.

The lust pattern of the sin nature includes the following types of lust:            a.  Power lust.

  1. Approbation lust.
  2. Social lust.
  3. Sexual lust.
  4. Chemical lust.

  1. Monetary lust.
  2. Inordinate ambition resulting in inordinate competition.
  3. Crusader lust, believer activism.
  4. Lust for revenge.
  5. Criminal lust.
  6. Pleasure lust.

Anyone of these types of lust destroys the motivation of the believer to execute the PPOG.

Lust divorces the believer from reality, causing unrealistic expectation.

Lust destroys spiritual self-esteem and replaces it with inordinate desire related to self-gratification.

Two categories of lust:  unfulfilled lust; fulfilled lust.

Unfulfilled lust causes direct frustration and intensifies the desire or desires involved.

Fulfilled lust does not bring the anticipated happiness, and therefore, operation boomerang, the third stage of reversionism, occurs.

It falls under that same old principle, the thrill of the catch is the chase.

When you get to where you're going, where are you going to be?

Fulfilled lust increases the function of Christian degeneracy.

Happiness and contentment do not originate from the fulfillment of the lust pattern of the sin nature.

Happiness and contentment come from relationship with God and the understanding the use of the problem solving devices.

Once the believer possesses spiritual self-esteem, a personal sense of destiny, and occupation with Christ, his relationship with people is one of great happiness.

Lust destroys the modus operandi of the Christian way of life.

Lust destroys the effectiveness and power of prayer.  This is illustrated in Jam 4:3, This was Font/Pitch 2,12 - On."You ask and receive not, because you ask for yourselves with wrong motives that you may squander it on pleasure lusts."This was Font/Pitch 2,12 - Off.Note:  The change to pitch (12) and font (1) must be converted manually.

Lust destroys the believer's motivation to glorify God and replaces it with self-promotion motivation.

Lust causes the believer to become dishonest with himself, and then, dishonest with others.

Lust divorces the believer from reality so that every mechanic of the Christian way of life is distorted.

Lust can only be overcome through spiritual momentum, spiritual growth, the advance to spiritual adulthood through post-salvation epistemological rehabilitation.

Power lust - the dominance of legalistic believers in local churches.

Approbation lust - the ego trip of self-righteous arrogance.

Crusader lust - believers seek to dominate government, emphasize political activity and activism, and destroy the distinction between church and state.

The purpose of the Church on earth is the invisible impact of the mature believer who executes the PPOG and sustains the client nation through his function of evangelism, Bible teaching, and missionary activity.

Social lust - the self-righteous arrogance of legalism seeks to dominate Christian fellowship and all social activities of believers.

Inordinate ambition and competition - the lust to excel at the expense of others.  Hence, the persecution of grace believers through slander, gossip, judging, and maligning.

Pleasure lust - the carnal believer involved in partying to promote and gratify his sexual or chemical lust, or both.

Chemical lust - results from the frustration of rejection or failure, and therefore, seeking to compensate by becoming heavily involved in alcohol or drugs.

Lust for revenge - caused by being jilted in an affair or by being frustrated in criminal activity.

Criminal lust connected with monetary lust - results in illegal monetary gain.

Point 2.  Inferiority related to Lust.

People with an inferiority complex go through life either trying to rationalize or to justify or to prove some sort of superiority.

Self‑justification plus living in the unrealistic world of flattery satisfies their approbation lust.

Psa 5:8-9, tells us that the flatterer cannot be trusted at all.

In Psa 12:1-3, they speak with a forked tongue and with double-mindedness.

Psa 36:1-2, tells us that he flatterer has no respect toward God.

Pro 2:10-17, warns us about the female flatterer.

Because the male is arrogant enough to believe their compliments.

Pro 26:24-28, tells us that the flatterer is filled with hatred and lies in spite of how sweet they may come across.

Pro 29:5 tells us the flatterer will reap what they sow

The flatterer appeals to those who have a problem with lust, especially; power lust, approbation lust, social lust, sexual lust, monetary lust, and pleasure lust.

Only salvation followed by the attainment of spiritual self-esteem can really resolve this problem.

A deep‑seated sense of inferiority can be caused from anywhere from 50 to 60 different reasons:  parents, environment, childhood, problems with peers in all levels of school, etc.
