obstacle course = God’s Plan for the ages
each obstacle = a different dispensation
clock = the time span of each dispensation
the runner = the human race

1) A dispensation is a period of time in human history expressed by divine revelation in which a certain system is revealed

2) Dispensations are divine categories of human history

3) A dispensation is described as a period of time during which a particular revelation of God’s mind and will is operative

4) A dispensation is a stage in a progressive revelation expressly adapted to the needs of the particular period of time

There is only one way of salvation through out all of human history – personal faith in TLJC.

Theocentric Dispensations
1) Age of the Gentiles
2) Age of the Jews
Christocentric Dispensations
1) Hypostatic Union
2) Church Age
Eschatological Dispensations
1) Tribulation
2) Millennial Reign

The Theocentric Dispensations

God performed certain things for man before the foundation of the world.

MAT 13:35;MAT 25:34;LUK 11:50;JOH 17:24;EPH 1:3-4;1PE 1:20;REV 13:8.

The word “was” is hayah and it means became form and void.

We identify this as the GAP fact, and a reference to the kingdom conflict before the creation of Adam and the woman.

They were created perfect beings, created with body, soul and spirit.
They were placed in perfect environment, the Garden of Eden.

Neither perfect environment nor divine institution number two, marriage, was designed to solve man’s problems!

In every dispensation even though God’s administration is different, salvation is always the same!

ACT 16:31
They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

1JO 3:12
not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.

The commandment Thou shall not kill is incorrectly translated. It is Thou shall not murder, ratsach.

The dispensation of the Gentiles, GEN 9:6
The Jews, EXO 21:14
Hypostatic Union, MAT 26:52
Church age, ROM 13:1-8
The Tribulation
The Millennium, REV 2:26-28

The only line between Adam and Noah that was true humanity and uncorrupted by the fallen angels was Noah’s family.

MIC 7:6
For son treats father contemptuously, Daughter rises up against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man’s enemies are the men of his own household.

The Mosaic law
The unconditional and unfulfilled covenants (Abrahamic, Palestinic, Davidic, and New Covenants)
The unconditional covenants which will be fulfilled at the second coming

Remember, the Mosaic law was given to Israel only, EXO 19:3;LEV 26:46;ROM 3:19;9:4, NOT the Gentiles! (DEU 4:8)…and NOT the Church, either! (Acts 15:5;ROM 6:14;GAL 2:19).

It’s God’s grace alone that provides salvation via the cross.

The law therefore was effective only as it drove the sinner to Christ, the law was a schoolmaster or child trainer to bring us to Christ.

The four covenants are:
The Abrahamic covenant
The Palestinian covenant
The Davidic covenant
The New covenant

The Abrahamic covenant
1) promises Israel a permanent existence as a nation.
2)The Church is not and cannot fulfill Israel’s promises.
3)Israel then has a future as a nation and in a promised land.

The Davidic Covenant
1) David is to have a child, yet to be born, who shall succeed him and establish his kingdom.
2) This son (Solomon) shall build the temple instead of David
3) The throne of his kingdom shall be established forever

4) The throne will not be taken away from him (Solomon) even though his sins justify chastisement
5) David’s house, throne, and kingdom shall be established forever. This covenant is reinstated and confirmed in PSA 89:3-4,34-36

The New Covenant is stated in JER 31:31-34

The Abrahamic covenant promises Israel a permanent existence as a nation
The promised land is emphasized in the Palestinian covenant
The seed is emphasized in the Davidic covenant and
The blessing is emphasized in the New covenant

A nation forever
A land forever
A king forever
A throne forever
A kingdom forever
A new covenant
Abiding blessings

Christocentric Dispensations

Hypostatic Union

Church Age

The virgin pregnancy

The virgin birth

The impeccability of the humanity of TLJC

The hypostatic union

The events leading up to the cross

The 6 trials and the spiritual death of TLJC

In JOH 19:30 TLJC said Tetelesti, the per/act/ind of teleo. In the perfect tense teleo means it has been finished in the past with the result that it stands finished forever.

His human spirit went to heaven

His human soul went to paradise to witness of His victory

His body went into the grave

No human being ever went to heaven until Christ FIRST entered into the presence of the Father and was accepted as a man.

God the Father, from His omnipotence, restored the human spirit to the body of J.C.

God the H.S., from His omnipotence, restored the human soul to the body

God the Son raised His own human body

Resurrection is not our victory but the Lord’s victory!

The Resurrection is His victory and He gives it to us and that is GRACE!

The ascension is that doctrine which pertains to the transfer of the Lord’s true humanity from planet earth to the third heaven in a resurrection body.

The word “session” is defined as the doctrine of Christology pertaining to the glorification of our Lord’s humanity at the right hand of the Father

TLJC in His humanity is also superior to angels.

**101** We are in union with Christ and we are positionally higher than angels and someday we will be experientially higher than angels.

**101** **101** **102** **101** The purpose of the Church Age is to “call out” a royal family of God!

**102** **102** **103** **102** The BoHS is not an experience, it is the function of the power of the H.S. putting every believer into union with Christ

**101** **101** **103** **103** **104** **103** This is how the church is formed

**102** **102** **104** **104** **105** **104** This is how the body is formed

**103** **103** **105** **105** **106** **105** This is how the believer becomes a new creature

**104** **104** **106** **106** **107** **106** Therefore the C.A. interrupted the age of Israel and on the day of Pentecost God began the church or the calling out of the royal family of God.

**105** **105** **107** **107** **108** **107** The doctrine of the translation of the church is found in:JOH 14:1-3; 2TH 2:1; 1TH 4:13-18; 1CO 1:8; 1CO 15:51-52; PHI 3:20-21; 2CO 5:1-9

**106** **106** **108** **108** **109** **108** Eschatological Dispensations:

**107** **107** **109** **109** **110** **109** The Tribulation

**108** **108** **110** **110** **111** **110** The Millennial Reign

**101** **109** **109** **111** **111** **112** **111** JER 30:7

**102** **110** **110** **112** **112** **113** **112** ‘Alas! for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s distress, But he will be saved from it.

**103** **111** **111** **113** **113** **114** **113** 70 weeks are weeks of years

**101** **101** **104** **112** **112** **114** **114** **115** **114** In GEN 29:26-28 and DAN 9:24 one week equals 7 years

**101** **102** **102** **105** **113** **113** **115** **115** **116** **115** So 70 x 7 = 490 years

**102** **103** **103** **106** **114** **114** **116** **116** **117** **116** God owes Israel 7 years

**101** **103** **104** **104** **107** **115** **115** **117** **117** **118** **117** They have had 69 weeks already (i.e. 483 years)

**102** **104** **105** **105** **108** **116** **116** **118** **118** **119** **118** DAN 9:27

**103** **105** **106** **106** **109** **117** **117** **119** **119** **120** **119** Daniel reveals that this lawless one will be manifested at the beginning of the 70th week…therefore a pretribulation Rapture is a must!
