The Doctrine of Divine Decrees.
Point 1. Definition and Description. The decree of God refers to His eternal, holy, wise and sovereign purpose, comprehending simultaneously all things that ever were or will ever be.
This is God at His best understanding and controlling everything in their causes, conditions, status, successions, and determining the certainty of their future.
COL 1:16-17, For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
HEB 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.
