God is declaring Noah, Daniel and Job as mature winner believers and that in times of the fifth cycle of discipline when God destroys a nation that they would only be able to deliver themselves.
To be put into the same category as Job and Daniel, one a Gentile, the other a Jew, is a great compliment to Noah!
The first 500 years of his life are passed off in silence.
2JO 1:8  Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.
Noah means rest or relief.
The line of descent from Adam to Noah was as follows: Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared. Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah.

Ten represents the number of completion of the divine order.
Translation means to describe or interpret the word whereas transliteration is the conversion of a text from one language t to another.

All of these Hebrew names are special significance when you interpret what they mean and Noah is a vital part of this illustration.
Adam = man
Seth = appointed
Enosh = human
Kenan means a curse referring to man’s curse of having to work etc.
Adam = man
Seth = appointed
Enosh = human
Kenan = curse
The word “el” you recognize as the name of God. The Hebrews put the name of God in their names like Daniel, Bethel, etc.
Mahalalel means “the blessed God” says Gesenius a Hebrew scholar.
Jared is a verb meaning “shall come down.”
Enoch means to consecrate one self.
Methuselah lived longer than anyone in all of human history, 969 years, probably because of blessing by association to his father Enoch.
Methuselah died the year that the flood occurred and as we noted in the past, his death was a warning that this was the year of the flood.
Enoch was told as long as his son was alive, the flood would be withheld!
Enoch, who was a prophet, named his son Methuwshelach translated Methuselah and his name means “his death shall bring.”
Methuselah’s name means “his death shall bring.”
Adam = man
Seth = appointed
Enosh = human
Kenan = curse
Mahalalel = the blessed God.
Jared = shall come down
Enoch = to consecrate oneself.

Methuselah = “his death shall bring”
Lamech = conquering
Noah’s name means rest.
Adam = man
Seth = appointed
Enosh = human
Kenan = curse
Mahalalel = the blessed God.
Jared = shall come down
Enoch = to consecrate oneself.

Methuselah = “his death shall bring”
Lamech = conquering
Noah = rest
“Man is appointed a human curse. The blessed God shall come down to consecrate himself. His death shall bring conquering rest.”
1. There’s no way a group of Jewish Rabbi’s would have contrived to hide the Christian Gospel in a genealogy of the Torah.
2. The importance of going back to the original language and discovering what was really said.
3. This is another passage that reveals the integrity of the Bible and the fact that this book was divinely inspired by God!
What made Noah great is that Noah did not allow the evil standards of his day to rob him of His relationship and fellowship with God.
“being warned” = to be divinely instructed doctrine.
One of the most overlooked functions of Noah’s life is that he had to go against the majority and appear to be a fool for our Lord’s sake.

The ark is representative of the cross of Christ and as the apostle Paul said in1CO 1:18   For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Noah teaches us that when you have doctrine in the soul, you can take the proper action, even though you are in the minority.
GEN 6:5,  Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
“not yet seen” is a pres-pass-part of blepo which refers to being warned about things that have not yet occurred in human history.
As a super-grace believer, Noah received doctrinal information about the termination of the antediluvian civilization.
Prin-Super-grace believers or mature believers always receive accurate warnings for any major catastrophe in history about to come.

The ship that Noah constructed was action from doctrine and it was the source of ridicule until the floods came.

Prin-When your conviction or your stubbornness or your decisiveness is based upon Bible doctrine in the soul you are a part of the minority.
There are believers who are constantly judged and criticized and called arrogant and hard-headed for the their unwavering stand with doctrine, and yet these are the believers who have the opportunity to become invisible heroes in their generation.
You will be called stubborn, bullheaded and called many many other things but, greatness is in finding the right track and staying on it.

“in reverence” should be translated having been motivated by reverence or his respect toward God.
The aor-act-ind of the verb ‎kataskeuazo means to construct on the basis of a specified blue-print.
Prin: He wasn’t motivated to build the ship for people, he was motivated to build the ship for God.
The word for “ark” is kiboton which refers to an ark, a wooden chest, or a ship.
The word salvation is the noun soterian which means deliverance.
The seven members of his family were all delivered by the building of the ship by Noah.

Some of you will never reach super-grace or spiritual maturity and so the best thing for you to do is to hook up with a mature believer and get blessing by association.
Super-grace blessing is the means of blessing those in the periphery who are not super-grace types.
Noah used the doctrine resident in the soul to be motivated to reach super-grace, build a ship for the Lord and then condemn the world at the time.

He did all of this in view of the strongest possible human opposition as well as Satanic, with the Nephilim on the earth.
These were the days of rampant visible demonism, half-human, half angelic creatures as well as evil vile humanity, and all of these beings were in opposition to Noah.
Noah stood alone as the only living super-grace believer, the only other super-grace hero was Methuselah and he died just before the flood.
It takes a great deal of strength and a tremendous amount of doctrine in the soul to stand up against continual opposition over a long period of time.
This explains why believers go from positive volition toward doctrine to antinominianism to liberalism and then to lasciviousness.
ACT 17:6  “These men who have upset the world have come here also;”
It is possible in times of great catastrophe that one super-grace believer on the earth can turn the whole course of history.
In this case, by being faithful to doctrine, Noah turned all of their condemnation of him back on them.
MAT 7:1-2, “Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”
PSA 18:25  With the kind Thou dost show Thyself kind; With the blameless Thou dost show Thyself blameless;
PSA 18:26  With the pure Thou dost show Thyself pure; And with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself astute.
The word for condemn means to condemn by your action or your life not by your tongue.
It was not the majority or the world condemning Noah it was Noah’s life condemning the world.
It is not the super-grace believer being judged by others, it is the super-grace believer’s life judging them.
