Doctrine of Enemyship, Part 12. The carnal believer becomes an enemy of God.
Thursday, December 28, 2000
Point 7. The Carnal Believer Becomes a Temporary Enemy of God by Being out of Fellowship, ROM 8:7-8.
“For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
The believer is in an absolute state (spiritual or carnal), while growing, just as he is in an absolute state while declining.
Carnality can be either a temporary or permanent setback in the execution of Gods will, purpose, and plan for your life.
Point 8. God is the Enemy of the Reversionistic Believer, 1SA 28:16.
The advancing believer doesnt have to be concerned with his enemies because of the protection given by God inside of the wall of fire of ZEC 2:5, or the PPOG.
ISA 30:1 “Woe to the rebellious children, declares the Lord, Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin;”
ISA 30:2-3 “Who proceed down to Egypt, Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh, And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be your shame, And the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.”
When a believer goes negative toward doctrine for a period of time, he ends up with hardness of the heart and in reversionism.
He can stay in a backslidden state until he dies the sin unto death, like King Saul.
Once back in fellowship, God will always provide and deliver you from the jam, 1CO 10:13.
The consequences of his reversionism is GAL 6:7b For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The backslider or the reversionistic believer reaps what he sows, whereas a believer who has rebounded and recovered reaps what God sows.
(1) You can reap what you sow.
(2) You can reap what God sows.
Satan wearing out and deceiving the saints of God, DAN 7:25.
David finds himself doing something contrary to his own conscience.
Nebuchadnezzar - the disease he received from jealousy, lycanthrope.
Achish the unbeliever is honorable while David the believer is dishonorable.
People are going to tell you one thing and mean something entirely different, PRO 23:7.
