Point 1. Definition: Imputation is used as an act of God whereby either condemnation or blessing is ascribed, attributed, reckoned, given, or imposed on the human race.
Point 2. There are three factors in imputation.
Point 3. The Working Equation of the Plan of God when it comes divine imputations.
X = God’s will for the unbeliever.Y = God’s plan for the believer to receive blessings in time which glorify God. Z = God’s plan for the mature believer. X [I. of H.L. + I of AOS = P1 + D = H1] + (I of EL)
Y [JI#1 + JI#2 = P2 + D = H2] + (I of BT)
Z [IEL + IBT = P3 + D = H3] = Plan of God
The Greek word elpis is translated hope but it really refers to the absolute confidence we should have because of the divine solutions God has given us.
JOH 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
2CO 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight‑‑
HEB 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
HEB 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
If we have the confidence of H1 or H2 or H3, we bring glory to God because we believe in the divine solutions that He has given us!
X [IHI + ISD = P1 + D = H1] = (IEL)
X radical contains God’s will for the unbeliever. It begins with the imputation of human life (HI) plus the imputation of spiritual death (SD) [=
Adam’s original sin to the old sin nature],
This sets us up for the first potential (P1 + D = Gospel)–that leads you the first Hope, H1 which is the absolute confidence that you will receive the imputation of eternal life.
There is divine solution for each imputation.
Being condemned at birth we have the potential of salvation – this potential plus doctrine (D–here specifically the Gospel) equals the first hope–or the absolute confidence that once we believe in Christ we will have the imputation of eternal life.
X [IHI + ISD = P1 + D = H1] + (IEL) – the plus outside of the bracket is the point of faith in Christ when God the Father imputes eternal life to the human spirit created by God the HS (regeneration).
Every imputation sets us up with a problem that has a divine solution which is found in the word of God.
What is the solution to the problem that we have because of the imputation of human life?
The solution concerning the imputation of human life is that we now need to be born again which is found in the word of God.
1PE 1:23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God.
Every imputation has a divine solution which is found in the word of God.
Selection begins at your physical birth when God imputes to your soul human life just like election begins for you at your spiritual birth, when God imputes to you eternal life.
“mi beten” is translated not “in the womb” but “out from the womb” or even “outside of the womb” or “ever since you were born” or “ever since your birth.”
Selection begins at your physical birth when God imputes to your soul human life just like election begins for you at your spiritual birth, when God imputes to you eternal life.
Every member of the human race has been selected by God to be alive and that God has a purpose for their life.
There’s a tremendous difference between a purpose and a destiny……just like there’s a tremendous difference between selection and election.
At selection, you have a purpose, 2PE 3:9.At election, you have a destiny, EPH 1:5.
Because of the character and nature of God and the imputation of sin at birth, God must provide salvation for everyone to whom He gives soul life to at birth. Therefore, He provides redemption for all.
For God to impute Adam’s original sin to our genetically formed OSN that was given to us by God and then He condemned us at birth because of that and then not to provide salvation for everyone is to say that God is unfair and unjust.
God is just and He is fair and He is a God of love which is why He provides salvation for every member of the human race which is called theologically the doctrine of the unlimited atonement.
God imputes to you human life you fall under the doctrine of selection and from then on His desire for you is to fall under the doctrine of election.
2PE 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Selection precedes election.
Man’s ability is limited to the formation or creation of biological life in the womb. However, human life does not exist until God creates soul life and imputes it to biological life after the fetus has left the womb.
PSA 100:3 Know that the Lord [Jesus Christ] Himself is God; it is He who has made us [the real you is your soul and that’s what He made], and not we ourselves;
“He made us” is a reference to the entire human race after Adam and the woman. It refers to the origin of human life, the creation of human life by God.
ISA 57:16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
This refers to TLJC because Jesus Christ is the Creator of everything, JOH 1:3; COL 1:16; HEB 1:10.
JOH 1:3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
COL 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities‑‑ all things have been created by Him and for Him.
The fact that you have human life means that you have a purpose from God under selection from the sovereignty of God.
By His sovereignty I mean by His desire for you which ultimately brings Him glory, the purpose of selection and election.
The fact that any person believes in Christ and receives eternal life is a matter of common and efficacious grace.
You are a royal priest sustained by logistical grace, a person in union with Christ, and you can function under those three power options and the ten problem solving devices.
The Three Power Options:1. Power of the Holy Spirit2. Power of the Word of God.3. The execution of the PPOG.
The Ten Problem Solving devices:1. Rebound and recovery2. The filling of the Spirit3. The faith rest life4. Grace orientation5. Doctrinal orientation6. A personal sense of destiny7. Personal love for God the Father8. Impersonal, unconditional love for all mankind9. Contentment and perfect happiness with God10. The ultimate occupation with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Selection can be turned into election which reveals your personal sense of destiny and means that you can capitalize on your escrow blessings that are on deposit.
The purpose of the sovereignty of God at birth is followed by the personal sense of destiny of the sovereignty of God at the point of regeneration.
The dynamics of the ordinary life in the Church-age become extraordinary.
Every church age believer has a double destiny: First under the PPOG. Secondly in the eternal state.
Through physical birth, we have a purpose in life, for God gave to us soul life when He created us and then imputed our soul-life to the human body that He decided for us.
Breath = the Hebrew noun neshamah which means breath and when God gives breath, neshamah, the spark or life or the breath of life, He has a purpose for your life.
Through physical birth, the purpose exists. The purpose is meaningless without regeneration.
Through physical birth, God has a purpose for your life, through regeneration or spiritual birth, God has a destiny for your life.
The purpose comes from physical birth. The destiny comes from spiritual birth.
a. First, a destiny in time which is the execution of the PPOG.
b. A destiny in the eternal state in which God has willed His highest and best for you as a part of your escrow blessings.
