Point 4.  Imputation as it relates to Selection and Election.

Selection begins at physical birth when God imputes soul life and has a purpose for your life, whereas election begins at spiritual birth where God imputes eternal life and has a destiny for your life.

“He made us” is a reference to the entire human race after Adam and the woman. It refers to the origin of human life, the creation of human life by God.

ISA 57:16  For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

PRO 23:7  For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
“it is He who has made us” refers  to the Lord creating our soul not our body

JOH 1:3  All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

COL 1:16  For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities‑‑ all things have been created by Him and for Him.
Image is the Hebrew noun tselem which refers to God’s real essence but His essence is invisible just as your soul is invisible.
“I have given you” =  the Hebrew particle le is in the plural – I have given both of you Adam and the woman dominion over all the earth.
It points to something that is real but invisible and therefore speaks of God because God, though real, is invisible to us.

The soul resides inside the cranium (skull) but even if you break open the cranium you will not see the soul.

They can see that which the male and female has brought forth–which is the human body,  the vessel that houses the real you —- the soul.

Once you are born again you are now said to a trichotomus being having a spirit, soul and body; 1TH 5:23.
1TH 5:23   Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The spirit refers to election; The soul refers to selection; The body refers to conception.

Your soul shines through in your personality but the soul itself is invisible.

The  proper evaluation we make of others should not be according to a pretty face or one’s outward appearance; JOH 7:24.

Because the heart, the thinking part of man, is a reflection of the real person.

PRO 27:19  As in water face reflects face, So the heart of man reflects man.

The older people grow, usually the smarter they get about such things.
As you grow older you no longer evaluate people by how they appear, you evaluate people as to the real person they are in the soul.

They see beyond the superficial, the outward appearance, they see the soul.

That is what the “it’s better to marry than to burn” passage is all about in 1CO 7:9.

1CO 7:9  But if they do not have self‑control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.
The burning is a reference to the souls desiring one another not the human body, though there is a place for that.

1CO 7:9  But if they do not have self‑control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.   Do you realize what is visible to people in realty is the least important part of you?

What the human eye sees of self and others is the least important aspect of the person.

1SA 16:7  “God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

GEN 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of live (s) (chajijm – soul life – spirit life); and man became a living being.

The sin nature is genetically formed in every cell of the body and it battles for control of the soul through sin, human good and evil.

Because we have an old sin nature, we are said to be totally depraved and therefore, we are completely helpless to approach God or do anything about our relationship with God.

The fact that you have soul life or human life means that you have a purpose from God under selection from the sovereignty of God.

By His sovereignty I mean by His desire for you which ultimately brings Him glory, the purpose of selection and election.

Selection can be turned into election which reveals your personal sense of destiny and means that you can capitalize on your escrow blessings that are on deposit.

The purpose of the sovereignty of God at birth is followed by the personal sense of destiny of the sovereignty of God at the point of regeneration.

The dynamics of the ordinary life in the Church-age become extraordinary.

Every Church-age believer has a double destiny: First under the PPOG. Secondly in the eternal state.

The believer has a destiny for both time and eternity. We learn about our destiny only through the perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine.

Through physical birth, we have a purpose in life, for God gave to us soul life when He created us and then imputed our soul-life to the human body that He decided for us.

The word breath is the Hebrew noun neshamah which means breath and when God gives breath, neshamah, the spark or life or the breath of life, He has a purpose for your life.

There is no real life or soul life until God imputes it at birth.

Through physical birth, the purpose exists.  However, the purpose is meaningless without regeneration.

Through physical birth, God has a purpose for your life, through regeneration or spiritual birth, God has a destiny for your life.

The purpose comes from physical birth. The destiny comes from spiritual birth.

a. First, a destiny in time which is the execution of the PPOG. b. A destiny in the eternal state in which God has willed His highest and best for you as a part of your escrow blessings.

Point 5.  The Virgin Pregnancy of Jesus Christ is related to the doctrine of imputations.

JOH 12:47  “And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

JOH 12:48  “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”

1JO 2:28  And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.

a. All the cells of the human race are contaminated by the old sin nature.

b.  Through meiosis and polar body = there are twenty-three chromosomes which are thrown off in the ovum leaving twenty-three uncontaminated chromosomes in the female ovum prior to fertilization.

Why didn’t God impute Adam’s sin to Jesus Christ when He was born.

What did Jesus Christ do before He was born to deserve not to have the sin of Adam imputed to Him like the rest of the members of the human race?

It is not what He did but what was done for Him which of course is the virgin birth.

ISA 7:14  “Therefore the Lord [Jehovah] Himself will give you a sign [Jews ask for signs], Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

Because the OSN is passed down by the male and not the female and Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant with TLJC, it was the first blastocyst, then embryo and then fetus to ever be without the contamination of the old sin nature.

The old sin nature is transmitted through the 23 male chromosomes which fertilize the female ovum [female reproductive cell].
