The Doctrine of The Open Door. Part 12.
Sunday, September 26, 2010
Point 5. The fifth door of opportunity in life is the provision of the PPOG and its resultant historical impact.
REV 3:8, “I know your deeds [your production]. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power or faith as a mustard seed, and have kept or guarded My word, and have not denied My name.”
Just a tiny bit of faith, because the merit is in the person or the object of faith not the person having the faith.
However, God does not and cannot do anything contrary to His essence.
Knowing that you have open doors along the way of life will encourage you to assign number one priority to Bible doctrine which results in learning and using the power of God, i.e., the three spiritual skills.
This is why we noted when we studied part of the life of our Lord Jesus Christ that God helps the helpless, gives hope to the hopeless, breathes life into the lifeless.
Hope is restored when we remember what? When we remember that our Lord is not hindered or limited by the things that make us feel helpless.
Hope remains when we know that even though we cannot see Him or touch Him, He is hard at work on our behalf.
PHI 1:6, For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
PHI 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
We need to learn from the doors our Lord went through when and how He accomplished the strategic victory of the humanity of Christ in the dispensation of the Hypostatic-union.
