The Doctrine of The open Door. Part 8.

Friday, September 17, 2010

Point 2 in our doctrine of the Open Door.
The First Open Door of Opportunity in Scripture is the Door of Salvation,
JOH 10:9.

JOH 10:9, “I am the door, if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture [logistical grace provision for the believer in Christ].”

Anyone can walk through this door because this door is the door of salvation and salvation is available to all.

This door is called the door of faith in
ACT 14:27, And when they had arrived and gathered the church together, they {began} to report all things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

All kinds of people can walk through a door.
Good people, bad people, moral people, amoral, immoral, ignorant, smart etc.

The first opportunity in life is the open door of salvation,
it’s open to everyone.
“whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Point 3. The second door of opportunity in life is the door of communication of truth.

a. Under our first point, There are the laws of divine establishment for the entire human race.

PSA 33:12,  “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.”

The laws of divine establishment guarantee that we are to have the freedom to communicate the Gospel without government interference.

They operate from the fall of man to the Second Advent, as well as in the Millennium with some modifications in compatibility with perfect environment.

These laws directly affect freedom, civilization, authority, evangelism, spiritual growth, and perpetuation of the human race.

The laws of divine establishment define freedom in terms of privacy, property and authority.

Therefore, the four divine institutions, volition, marriage, family, and nationalism are the basis for the laws of divine establishment.

God also has divine laws for angels and nature.
All these laws are designed to resolve the angelic conflict using an inferior creature, man.

The laws of divine establishment for the entire human race begin with understanding the fact that: The soul is prepared for us by God.  It is the house for human life.  The body is the house for the soul.

Adam did not become a human being until God imputed to him, neshumah, the breath of life.
GEN 2:7, Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

EZE 18:4, “Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die.”
JOB 32:8, But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.

We have two sets of laws, establishment and the royal family honor code under which we are required to function.

The soul is made up of self-consciousness, mentality, emotion, and volition as the authority of the soul.

Divine establishment provides freedom and privacy for those who do not violate criminal law.

While people are not born equal or live in equality, they must have freedom of choice and the right to live in a free society pursuing a course of action compatible with their own aspirations or lack of the same.

The point is that freedom is the basis for true evangelism.
Freedom of speech and worship are necessary for advance to maturity.
Freedom is the normal sphere of function for the volition of the soul.
Freedom cannot exist without privacy and authority.

b. Under the second door of opportunity in life is the door of:
The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for Unbelievers.

2CO 6:1-2, And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain. for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you;” Behold, Now is the acceptable time, Behold, Now is the day of salvation.”

There comes a time when it’s too late to seek the gospel and that is because people seek for self-preservation not for acknowledgement of TLJC as Savoir.

The apostle Paul talked about the open door of the Gospel in 2CO 2:12, Now when I came to Troas for the gospel of Christ and when a door was opened for me in the Lord,

In the context of ROM 1:16, the gospel means the declaration of good news of our Lord’s victory on the cross, where He was judged for the sins of the world.

ROM 1:16,  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

The Gospel is the doctrines pertaining to the work of Christ on the Cross.
