The Doctrine of Supergrace. Part 14.

(1) Fear is met and destroyed with courage.
(2) When you face your fear, most of the time you will discover that it was not really such a big threat after all.
(3) Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.

(4) Most of our problems would be totally solved if, instead of fearing to face them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them.
(5) Whenever we are afraid, it is because we don’t know enough; if we understood enough, we would never be afraid.
(6) Whenever we fear something, we give that which we fear power over us.

(7) You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
(8) Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.

As you go forward to spiritual maturity and you start getting into no man’s land, you are going to realize that sometimes you have to make sacrifices and suffer seeming losses if you are going to fulfill God’s plan.

ACT 14:22 Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.

You will discover that the worst people you will ever encounter in life are certain believers, pious types, the great con-artists, the unforgiving types, the liars and deceivers.

1. All of us at some time or another are going to bump into con-artists in life.
2. Being people-smart is no defense against the con-artists of this life.

3. Neither is spiritual maturity, for David was one of the greatest believers of all time and in the state of spiritual maturity he was conned by certain individuals as well.
4. It is certainly a true factor of life and it is probably good for anyone in life to be taken in at sometime by a con-artist because there are so many things to learn.

5. Sometimes greatness in business or in a profession or in the spiritual life or even in social life are measured in terms of con-artist testing.
6. All of us at sometime will fail because it is inevitable that the very thing that makes us strong, honor and integrity, also makes us vulnerable and even sometimes weak.

The local assembly is the place where doctrine is taught, and the kingdom of darkness desires to do whatever it can to distract people from the intake of doctrine!

GAL 2:4 But it was because of the false brethren who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.

1JO 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us.

ACT 20:30 and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

7. The con-artist also uses someone else, the victim, to get to his objective.
8. The con-artist must deceive his victim.
9. The con-artist is a reversionist and in using deceit, must hide the evidence to make the lie stick.

10. A con-artist must do something to flatter himself with his victim, whether it is inferiority or superiority.
