The Doctrine of the Theology of the plan of God, Part 4.
Friday, November 21, 2008
JOH 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
LUK 9:25 “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?”
SIC TRANSIT GLORIA MUNDI =
“The glory of this world passes away.”
Although you cannot lose your salvation, you will suffer loss, 1CO 3:15.
The perfect character and nature of God and the Theology of God’s Perfect Plan cannot be canceled out by the failure or renunciation of any believer living on earth, 2TI 2:11-13.
2TI 2:11 If we endure [in suffering for blessing], we shall rule with Him [as mature believers]. If we deny Him [in time by rejecting the PPOG] He will deny us [rewards, escrow blessings].
2TI 2:12 If we are unfaithful [disbelieving, faithless], He remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
Point 2. The Essence of God Is Necessary to Understand the Theology of God’s Perfect Plan.
The Bible identifies God as three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and each person has identical attributes and qualities, and when the attributes are in view, God is one.
The Father is the author of the plan.
The Son executes and fulfills the plan.
The Holy Spirit is to revealer of the plan.
ISA 48:16 “Come near to Me, listen to this: From the first I have not spoken in secret, From the time it took place, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit.”
ISA 48:12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom I called; I am He, I am the first, I am also the last.”
Who is the first and the last or the Alpha and Omega, REV 1:17?
REV 1:17 “I am the first and the last,”
ISA 48:13 “Surely My hand founded the earth, And My right hand spread out the heavens; When I call to them, they stand together.”
ISA 48:16 “Come near to Me, listen to this: From the first I have not spoken in secret, From the time it took place, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit.”
MAT 3:17 Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, {and} coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”
In ROM 8:9, they are all there.
In 1CO 12:4-6, they are all there.
In 2CO 13:14, EPH 4:4-6,
1PE 1:2, all three members of the God-head are all mentioned.
Theos used generally for the Father;
Pneuma generally used for God the Spirit;
Iesous Christos used for God the Son, Jesus Christ;
Kurios as His title of royalty, battlefield royalty, and His third royal title, King of kings and Lord of lords.
God is one and He exists in three persons, and each person has identical essence and attributes, and when these attributes are in view, God is said to be one.
They are one in essence because each One has identical essence to the same extent, to the same amount, always had; there never was a time in eternity past when this status quo did not exist.
PSA 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
To deny the existence of the three members of the Trinity is to deny the credibility of scripture itself.
Man’s limitations are met and solved by the unlimited omnipotence of God.
There are only three ways you can learn things or three systems of perception:
1 Rationalism
2 Empiricism
3 Faith - Heb 11.
Faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed, of the things we are confident of.
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living.
1 Rationalism.
2 Empiricism.
3 Faith - HEB 11:6.
Rationalism simply means that the mind and the IQ are the criterion for reality = perception through reason.
Empiricism brings the sensory system into the picture or perception through observation and experimentation = the scientific method.
Faith = the means of perception which accepts an established truth as the basis of reality.
To operate in faith there must be confidence or belief in the authority and truth of another.
Faith says - “On the basis of the authority and the truth of the one stating the fact I believe that what is being said is true.”
It cannot be understood through rationalism, using the mind and the IQ as the criterion for reality or perception through reason. Nor can it be understood through empiricism, what you smell, see, hear, taste, or feel, using the sensory system or perception through observation and experience.
The only option left is faith which says, “On the basis of the character and nature and the authority of the one stating the fact (that is God), I believe that what is being said is true.”
This Doctrine of the Theology of God’s Perfect Plan by either rationalism or empiricism would inevitably result in rejection.
“Life is half spent before they even know what it’s all about.”
All He requires is that you put aside some of your precious time in your so-called busy and meaningful life and learn about Him, who He is, and what He has done just for you.
The Essence of God which is Necessary to Understand the Theology of God’s Perfect Plan. Knowing the essence of God, the character and nature of God, will increase your love for Him.
First of all, God is sovereign.
Sovereignty = God is supreme in rule and has authority over all things.
