We are now ready to study the main doctrine that is referred to in our ninth commandment which is “You shall not bear false witness,” but instead, give those situations over to The Supreme of Heaven.
Point 1. Introduction. The supreme court of heaven is composed of the three persons of the Godhead–God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Even though they are three persons in the godhead, they have the same divine essence being equal to one another and therefore, we call that divine essence the Trinity.
The doctrine of the Trinity recognizes God as being one in essence but three distinct persons who possess equal, perfect, eternal and infinite identical essence.
This divine being is tripersonal, involving distinctions between the Father, Son, and Spirit, all of whom live within the believer.
These three persons are joint partakers of exactly the same nature and majesty of God.
Distinctions are made between the members of the Trinity, as described in 2Co 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God [the Father], and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
“Trinity” was first used by Tertullian in the second century to designate a Biblical doctrine concerning the purpose of the indwelling of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Under this principle, the plural pronoun for God, Elohim, is used to designate such passages as Gen 1:26, 3:22.
We are also taught this principle of the word “us” as in ISA 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
JOH 17:21 that we may all be one; even as Thou, Father, {art} in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.
Psa 110:1 “The Lord [God the Father] said to my [David’s] Lord [God the Son].”
Psa 2:7 “I will announce the decree of the Lord [God the Father]. He said to Me [God the Son], `You are My Son [deity of Jesus Christ].
This day [day of incarnation] I have begotten You.” = quoted three times in the New Testament, in Acts 13:33, Heb 1:5, and Heb 5:5.
Trinity is found in Isa 48:16 “Come near to Me; listen to this. From the first, I have not spoken in secret. From the time it took place, I was there.
And now the Lord God [God the Father] has sent Me [God the Son], and His Spirit [God the Holy Spirit].”
Mat 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples [Bible students] of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
This is a reference to the pre-Canon period of the Church Age in which water baptism was practiced to illustrate the baptism of the Holy Spirit by the use of ritual.
In Joh 10:30, Jesus said to the crowd, “I and the Father are one and the same.”
Joh 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,
JOH 5:23 in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
- Divine integrity or God’s holiness is revealed and composed of God’s justice and righteousness.
The Supreme Court Judge, God can never be unfair, unjust, or even play favoritism in any way.
Deu 32:4, “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
- Omniscience, which means that all of the three judges have known all of the facts of every case from eternity past.
Every believer come to understand that there are certain doctrinal situations in the Bible that God wants us to learn “in this life” or “in what we humans call time.”
Deu 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and our children forever.”
Certainly you will not understand the doctrinal content of the Bible all at once, for knowledge is built on knowledge; but, if you stay with it long enough it can be done.
Every book in the Bible was written by a human author who understood what he was recording; 2Pe 1:12-20.
2PE 1:20-21; But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Rom 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Principle: For the mature believer, in areas of his life where others are disturbed and freaking out, in those same areas he has a R.M.A.
By mature, I mean a believer who is at the stage of spiritual growth he should be at.
Knowing the character of God and His omniscience is the daily understanding that no matter what a day may bring, whether adversity or prosperity, there’s a divine purpose for it.
Knowing everything He has provided, from His omnipotence, a divine solution for every problem.
That divine solution can only be discovered when the believer is living in the pre-designed plan of God and their very own personal sense of destiny.
This plan was designed specifically from His omniscience which knew every solution for every problem that you would ever face as He thought all about you.
JOH 10:17 “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.
JOH 10:18 “No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”
Notice the greatest problems that we will face has been ordained by God for us to go through these situations with the motivation being your love to God.
Knowing the fact that God has omniscience is very comforting to the believer who truly loves God and really believes that God truly AND REALLY BELIEVES .
- Omniscience = known by God in EP.
2. Foreknowledge = we were in the mind of God in E.P.
3. Predestination = we were in the plan of God in E.P.
Point 1, the introduction to our doctrine of the Supreme Court of Heaven we also need to summarize the function of the supreme court of heaven by God and for us.
- Divine integrity or holiness, which is composed of God’s justice and righteousness.
- Omniscience, which means that all of the three judges have known all of the facts of every case from eternity past.
- The third attribute needed to understand is sovereignty, which means that the decisions rendered by the court come from perfect, eternal, incorruptible, divine volition.
Sovereignty means that God is supreme in rule and has authority over all things and there is no higher authority in the universe than God; Deu 4:39.
Deu 4:39 know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
- The fourth pertinent attribute of divine essence related to the function of the supreme court of heaven is omnipotence, which means that all three members of the court have the power to execute all sentences, all judgments of the court.
The only thing that hinders a judgment from being carried out is that a believer gets in the way through reaction, seeking revenge, arrogance sins, emotional sins, lust to hurt others.
All these principles mentioned so far in our study are just the beginning of God’s love for both the natural and the spiritual realm.
- God can take any type of evil situation and convert it into divine good.
Gen 50:20, and as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.
- Whenever someone tries to curse or destroy another believer, the Lord will turn the curse into a blessing when the believer operates in the F.R.D.
Deu 23:5 the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.
- This is why the Bible teaches that even when evil comes against you, the Lord can turn it into a blessing, providing that you operate in the F.R.D. and let Him handle the situation.
Deu 32:41 If I sharpen My flashing sword, and My hand takes hold on justice, I will render vengeance on My adversaries, and I will repay those who hate Me.
- The believer does not have to fight and defend himself, God will do that for the believer who operates in the F.R.D.
2Th 1:6 for after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
- Stop being anxious and worried and let God handle any unjust and unfair situation, in Isa 35:4.
Isa 35:4 say to those with anxious heart, “take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, and He will deliver you.”
- We are commanded never to take revenge on anyone for anything, Rom 12:19.
Rom 12:19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
- If you are being mistreated in any situation, do not lift up your hand against another person, 1Sa 24:12.
1Sa 24:12 “may the Lord judge between you and me, and may the Lord avenge me on you; but my hand shall not be against you.
- If you have been robbed by another believer do not take out your vengeance and frustration on him, give it over to the Lord, 1Th 4:6.
1Th 4:6 and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.
- Never repay evil with evil and give someone what you think that they deserve, Pro 20:22.
Pro 20:22 do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and He will save or deliver you.
- When someone has wronged you let the Lord repay him according to his deeds, 2Ti 4:14.
2Ti 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
As Pro 24:29 says….Do not say, “thus I shall do to him as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.”
The concept is a challenge in the field of judging.
People will judge your life, your motivation, your decision making, and all the way to criticizing your personality.
For the believer who is growing spiritually, this is the principal of pressure from Satan who is the original judge and accuses us day and night before the Throne of God.
We are under surveillance by a super-natural system of demon investigators.
According to Eph 6:12, Satan has demon investigators who constantly keep track of all believers to accuse them before the throne.
“Who” not only refers to human beings but angelic beings as well.
