Tuesday, November 28, 2000

Point 2. Biblical passages that deal with Illegitimate Weeping.

Illegitimate weeping evident by the fact that they preferred to return to the slavery of Egypt which represented security rather than freedom and dependence upon God.

Security was far more important than their freedom.

They were so emotional and so under the emotional complex of sins that they couldnt think right at all.

10 miracles in Egypt. 10 miracles in the desert. 10 rebellions from the congregation of Israel.

10 = completion and signifies the perfection of divine order.

30 = the perfection of the divine order, as marking the right moment.

Illegitimate weeping is irrational, illogical, absurd.

The weeping of emotional sins resulted in manifestation of irrationality and erroneous conclusions.

DEU 18:19 And it shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.

They added hysteria, fear, anxiety, worry, blaming God, irrationality, etc.

NUM 14:2 “they were concerned about themselves first – the arrogance complex of self.”

Turn to PHI 2:3

They forgot all the brutality of slavery, all of the injustices, all of the terrible things that happened to them.

They forgot that they were also bitter in slavery under the abuse of the Egyptians; EXO 1:14.

They forgot about the decree in Egypt to kill all the new born Jewish males; EXO 1:16.

They forgot that they cried out for help to the Lord because of their extreme bondage; EXO 2:23.

They forgot about all the sufferings that they were under; EXO 3:7.
