Epipothetoi whom I long to see or whom I desire to be with,
he is talking about the type of people you like to be with.
They recognized his authority as a communicator of doctrine.
Paul desired to be with them because they were positive toward doctrine, and Pauls ministry was devoted to teaching doctrine.
To desire the word of God is to desire God Himself; JOH 1:1.
Positive – a motion or decision that is definite, unyielding, constant or certain in its action.

They are an objective, well-mannered, poised, self- disciplined, spirit filled local assembly.
ROM 15:26 “For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.”
2CO 8:2 “that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.”
2CO 11:9 “and when I was present with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brethren came from Macedonia, they fully supplied my need.”
PHI 4:15 “And you yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;”
They had been faithful and consistent in the function of PMA of BD and many of them had become spiritually mature.
They rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep; 1CO 12:26.
No congregation can exceed the growth of its pastor.
They have avoided reversionism.
The believer who says he doesnt sin anymore is a liar and doctrine is not in him; 1JO 1:10.
They had reached supergrace and are now ready to advance to ultra supergrace – they will be the basis for Pauls highest decoration, the wreath of glory.
