All in all there are three sections to the book of Ephesians, handling the believer’s position in Christ (EPH 1:1 – 3:21), his life in the world (EPH 4:1 – 6:9), and his attitude toward the enemy (EPH 6:10 – 24).
1. Our Position in Christ – “SIT” (EPH 2:6)
2. Our Life in the World – “WALK” (EPH 4:1)
3. Our Attitude to the Enemy – “STAND” (EPH 6:11)
Sit, Walk, and STAND.
There is the Cross of Sit, the Cross of Walk, and the Cross of Stand.
With respect to our sitting in the Christian way of life, the cross appears as the finished work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross.
The Cross of our Christian walk is living in the Royal Family Honor Code, where we lay down our lives for the brethren.
There is the Cross of Stand.
Our Lord stood and delivered when He was on trial.
The LORD stands when He is ready to DO BATTLE!
ZEC 14:3 Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.
ZEC 14:4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
When Stephen the first martyr was about to die, our Lord Jesus Christ who had been sitting, sitting at the Right Hand of the Father, stood up, ACT 7:55-56.
A person stands to give a speech, to say something important, to say something which will be opposed.
The disciples standing before kings is a picture of the stand that the mature believer takes against the prince of the power of the air.
The cross of standing is undeserved suffering, and the ultimate is evidence testing.
The witness STAND.
A true friend stands by you in your trials, and we have already seen that with our Lord standing with Paul as he prepared to face his trial before Caesar.
When you take your stand, remember that the Lord stands with you, and it is HE that fights for you on the evil day while you keep silent.
Here is our word “stand” and in the same verse the devil is mentioned.
In this section of the book, we find Paul talking about various items of military equipment.
We have powerful enemies. We are in a struggle.

In context, it speaks of “one who vanquishes his adversaries and holds the ground, EPH 6:13; also of one who in the midst of the fight holds his position against the foe” (Thayer)
Our Christian stand has something to do with being soldiers.

The Christian STAND
Take a STAND against REJECTION
REJECTION OF GOD
PSA 53:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God”
REJECTION OF THE GOSPEL MESSAGE
2CO 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled (and it is), it is veiled to those who are perishing…
REJECTION OF BIBLE DOCTRINE
2TH 2:10 …and (they are deceived) with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
REJECTION
To be forsaken, to be excluded, to be repudiated or to be eliminated… to be denied, to be discarded, to be set aside
PSA 27:10
(David says) For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the Lord will take me up.
The Lord will always be there and will ALWAYS provide the perfect provision in a rejection

The use of negative volition… to refuse to acknowledge… or to believe…or to receive… or to accept…or to hear… or to consider
ISA 53:3
He (the Lord Jesus Christ) was despised and forsaken (rejected) of (by) men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
JOH 14:6
I am the way (to salvation), (I am) the truth (of the Word of God) and (I am) the (eternal) life…no one comes to (God) the Father but through (believing in) Me
Those who hate the truth reject the truth.
REJECTION
To throw away as worthless or unsatisfactory

“If anyone hears My (the Lord Jesus Christ’s) sayings (the word of God…Bible doctrine…maybe they will and maybe they won’t) and does not keep them (rejection), I do not judge him (at this point); for I did not come to judge the world, but (my purpose is) to save the world.”

Rejection of the Gospel

Get rid of their sin nature
Live a perfectly sinless life for thirty three years without a single mistake
Endure the most awful pressure and rejection anyone is ever faced
Agree to die for people who hate you
Hang from a Cross after having been beaten beyond recognition
Have all the sins of every creature who ever lived ticked off on your back
After dying spiritually, die physically
Have a trichotomous separation where your body goes to the grave, your spirit goes into the presence of God the Father, and your soul goes to Hades to announce victory
Rise from the dead!!
Record the whole thing in a book with perfect accuracy

Rejection of Bible Doctrine
2TI 4:3-4 For the time will come (right now) when they (believers in Christ) will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled (the positive faith movement), they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
