The Fruit of the Spirit manifested by the Salvation Ministry of God the Holy Spirit at the moment of Salvation. Part 2.

Sunday, August 12, 2012

The filling of the Holy Spirit given at the moment of salvation for the distinct purpose of producing the fruit of the Spirit as documented for us in GAL 5:22-23.

EPH 2:10 says For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
MAT 5:16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

COL 1:9-10, For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

REV 22:12 “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.

The divine good works that glorify God comes from the OP and the divine energy given to us by means of the filling of God the HS producing the fruit of the Spirit as per GAL 5:22-23.

One of the most important intentions of the ministry of God the Holy Spirit is to change or transform us into the image of Christ.

2CO 3:18, we are being transformed into the same image of Jesus Christ as we go from glory [the glory of the humanity of Christ as He executed the plan of God His life] to glory [the glory of the believer who executes the plan of God for His life], just as from the Lord, the Spirit.[God the Holy Spirit].

ROM 8:29, we have been predestined to become conformed to the image of God’s Son,

These characteristics are only manifested in those believers who fulfill ROM 8:4, they do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

The works of the flesh shall not be fulfilled –
GAL 5:16, But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

(2) The fruit of the Spirit shall have its manifestation.

The nine words which denote the fruit of the Spirit represent superhuman qualities of character.

Most believers today end up trusting in the flesh or in their ability to conform to what they “think” God desires them to conform to.

JER 17:5 Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord.

ROM 10:2-3, For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

Since the Holy Spirit declares that “agape” love is the greatest virtue of all in 1CO 13:13, it is reasonable that it should stand first on the list of the fruit of the Spirit.

Agape love is a mental attitude love which manifests itself through thoughtfulness of others, good manners, RMA around others and avoiding the sins of the tongue.
Agape love is also an impersonal unconditional love which means you will accept and tolerate people as you find them.

God the Holy Spirit has produced this love in you when you can handle being the victim of others’ mental attitude sins.

Someone who is antagonistic, an enemy, someone that despises you, someone who is trying to destroy you.

1. The love of the fruit of the Spirit is that PSD of Christianity which is described as impersonal and unconditional love toward all mankind.

It’s one thing not to be loved like this by those who you are not well-acquainted with, but when it’s those who you have been intimate with than it really hurts.

2. The love of the fruit of the Spirit emphasizes the virtue of the subject rather than the attraction or rapport of the object.

The divine nature which in 2PE 1:4 we become partakers of.

AMP – MAT 5:48 You, therefore, must be perfect [meaning to grow into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.

3. The love of the fruit of the Spirit toward all mankind is the ultimate expression of virtue.

a. Being devoted and loyal to your friends and family.
b. To the Romans virtue also meant reverence and devotion to the authorities over the Romans at that time.
c. The third meaning of virtue was justice or faith.
d. Virtue through absolute self-control.
