The function of your spiritual gift demands spiritual growth and experience of the fullness of Christ.

When God the Holy Spirit covers a man’s life in a passage like Heb 11 in one sentence like this, there’s got to be a lot in the sentence.

HEB 11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come.

Man looks upon the outward appearance (amount of works) while God looks upon the heart (motivation and quality of works).

1CO 3:13 Each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.

2CO 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good (agathos) or bad (phalos).

LUK 16:10-11 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”

HEB 11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come.

Every believer is given a permanent spiritual gift at the moment of salvation from the Sovereignty of God the Holy Spirit.

Every believer, no matter what his gift might be, is given the filling of the Holy Spirit and BD so that his gift will function in serving others for the common good of the local assembly.

God’s not interested in how much production you have, but God is interested in transforming your thinking so that you will operate in this life with true motivation, true love for God and impersonal unconditional love for all, and true virtue.

When a group of believers operate in motivation, love, and virtue they become an unstoppable battalion like Gideon’s 300 mighty men who defeated 135,000 of the enemy in one night.

God commissioned a young and terrified man named Gideon. Jesus Christ came to him in Theophany form and said simply, “Hello hero.”

You can’t operate in your spiritual gift if you’re living in fear. You can’t operate in your spiritual gift if you are not motivated to be ready to apply it when it is called upon.

There must be heroes in every function of the local assembly, the visible and invisible, the seemly and unseemly for the assembly to witness of the victory of TLJC.

A remnant, a core few of advancing believers, each of whom has one of the permanent spiritual gifts, locks shields together against the lies of the KOD and heralds the Gospel and sound doctrine throughout the world.

It’s not that heroes are never afraid. What makes them heroes is that they don’t quit when fear approaches.

None of us can lose our place in the body of Christ because we have eternal security, but our function in the body can be replaced. The losing is replaced by the wining.

Successful function of your spiritual gift doesn’t mean you won’t have doubts at times or fear at times, but it does mean that you press on regardless of what emotions say.

Gideon divides the 300 into 3 companies and arms each man with a trumpet, an empty pitcher, and a torch within the pitcher. These are the weapons that the 300 will use against the 135,000.

1. When the apostle Paul talks about treasure in earthen vessels (2Co 4), he is talking about torches in clay pots.
2. We are the clay pots, the common everyday vessels. The glory of JC is the torch, the light of the world within us. Part of that glory is the function of your spiritual gift.
3. He put the light inside the clay vessel and we blow the trumpet, which are the message of the gospel and the doctrines of the CA.
4. When the vessel is broken the light shines through. This is exactly what God is trying to do in our lives every day - break the outer man so that the inner man can shine out.

When our spiritual gifts are manifested with the Shekinah Glory as a group of believers our numerous enemies are destroyed and we freely blow the trumpet of the Gospel and of the mystery doctrine.

If we are going to blow the trumpet, God is going to break the vessel. If we are not prepared to be broken, we had better just set our trumpets down and go home because we are not ready for the battle.

1. The transfer of Old Testament saints from Paradise in Hades to heaven.
2. Spiritual gifts were distributed.

Every part of the body of Christ or every person in the body of Christ is assigned for a purpose,
EPH 4:11-16, not to work independently but as a team.

What is the fullness of Christ? It is the Church, His body.

The same word is used in EPH 4:13, pleroo, which means to fill completely, to fill with a certain quality, and to fill up a deficiency.

Why would the Lord need the Church to be made full?

His strategic victory on the Cross earned Him His third royal patent, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Church fills this patent, and winner believers who operate in their spiritual gifts capitalize on His victory.

The Church fulfills the Lord’s third royal patent by becoming His royal family, endowed with supernatural spiritual gifts that allow them to function as members of His body, bringing His Gospel and word to the world.

The Church was created, called out, to function in this world as a witness of the victory of Christ. Our spiritual gifts were given as a supernatural power to accomplish this end.

MAT 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (Trinity, unity), teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

1CO 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
