Mal 3:16 Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.

There are many scholars who believe this book of remembrance is the same as the book of life written about many times in the New Testament. Which is really a registry of the whole human race but it is designed to go into eternity with only the names and records of Bels.

Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Pro 5:21 For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He watches all his paths.

Pro 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good.

Rom 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

Psa 139:2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.

Psa 139:3 You scrutinize (zarah) my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted (cakan cakan) with all my ways.

zarah – sifted, spread out to be examined.

cakan – intimacy in knowing something or someone you treasure.

Deu 32:4 The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.

Mat 10:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Phil 4:3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Luk 10:20 “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Rev 3:5 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Rev 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

Rev 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

Rev 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 21:27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Psa 9:5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

Mat 10:42 “And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.

Mat 25:40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

Mar 12:42 A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent. 43 Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury;

When a person dies as an Unbel, his/her name is removed from the records. In eternity only the names of Bels are in the book of life, (Phil 4:3; Rev 3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:12,15, 21:27). In eternity, this book also contains the new title of royalty for each mature believer (Rev 2:17).

Rev 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.'

Rev 20:15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

According to Rev 3:5, being in the book of life means:

1.You can’t lose your salvation.

  1. The mature believer cannot lose his rewards. “I will never erase his name (royal title) out of the book of life.”Royal titles are used in eternity, which indicates that there is no equality in heaven. Mature Bels are listed in the halls of heaven forever;Luk 10:20 - “Rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”Mal 3:17 “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”Mal 3:18 So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.This does not insinuate God could care less about the Bel living a sinful lifestyle.

Rom 14:12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

Mat 12:36 But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Jas 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

2Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

When we think about our sins and failures after salvation, it is not as though God ignores them, it is that The Lord Jesus Christ paid that debt on Calvary. When God looks at the negative Bel, He is not forgetting sin He is instead, looking at the glory of His Son’s righteousness and the justice achieved at that Cross (our position).

2Pet 3:8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

Psa 103:8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.

Mal 2:2If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of hosts, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.
