God uses the evil and the wickedness of man to reveal His glory to the world.

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Heathenism teaches that if anyone in any part of the world, no matter how geographically isolated,

at the point of God consciousness expresses in his soul a desire to know God, and a desire to have a relationship with God, then God will provide, some way and some how, that information.

Amenhotep the II
in the eighteenth dynasty controlled all of the area of the middle east.

Instead of God using satellite radio or television, He used the hardness of one man’s heart to get the gospel message and his power throughout this region.

Our human limitations constantly restrict our ability to know and understand God.

PRO 16:4, the Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.

The Lord will allow some wicked person in your life to do things spitefully to you for the purpose of making you stronger spiritually.

JOB 21:30, for the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity; they will be led forth at the day of fury.

It is very easy to control an angry person and even the Lord does that as they are led forth in the day of fury

The Jerusalem translation:
PSA 76:10, “Man’s wrath only adds to your glory.”

The Lord will actually use the evil and the wickedness of man to reveal His glory to the world.

The woman caught in adultery and the wickedness of the self-righteous Pharisees.
God used the wickedness of self righteousness to magnify His grace.
GEN 50:20, with the evil and jealousy of Joseph’s brothers.

Prin - Inevitably the Lord will be glorified even when men perform the greatest evil which they are capable of performing.

2CO 13:8, for we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.

God used the most powerful man in the world at that time, the Pharaoh of Egypt, in order to evangelize the entire inhabited world.

Even Rahab called the harlot in JAM 2:25, in the next generation was evangelized through the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart.

One of the most fascinating things that will ever come to us in heaven is to see history strictly from the divine viewpoint.

There are times when a whole generation of people are wiped out and many times there is a godly reason for it.

To protect the human race for the perpetuation of human history.

In reality a crisis or a tragedy could be one of the greatest blessings in the world.

The fact that the human race has functioned as such, over anywhere from 10,000 years plus is a remarkable thing in view of the fact that we have such great self destructive tendencies.

1. They saw the Nile river turn to blood, EXO 7:20 (symbolized death).

2. They saw the land of Egypt covered with frogs, EXO 8:6. (symbolized pride-arrogance).

3. They saw all the dust and sand in Egypt turn into gnats on man and beast. (Symbolized the uncleanness-filth of the flesh) EXO 8:17.

4. They saw swarms of insects upon the entire land of Egypt, EXO 8:24. (symbolized Beelzebub, lord of the flies).

5. They saw all the livestock of Egypt die while all the livestock of Israel lived, EXO 9:6. (Symbolized rejection of the natural man).

The whole purpose of creating man was to resolve the pre-historic angelic conflict, and that the only thing that we have in common with angels is free will, volition.

“The Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart,” on the surface it appears as though Pharaoh’s volition had been taken from him.

The pattern of the first five plagues:
We learned that Pharaoh said,
"No, I will not release the Jews from slavery.”
The plague judgment would be something terrible, and Pharaoh would say,
“Yes, I will release them,”
Then the plague would go and then he would say, no again.

He was developing hardness of the heart and scar tissue in the soul from this pattern.“ and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart”
On the sixth plague, it does not mean that the Lord suddenly reached inside of his soul and grabbed his volition and moved it from positive to negative.

There have been five plagues up to this point.

He is going to allow Pharaoh to break the all time world record for hardness of heart and scar tissue of soul and still being alive.

MAT 12:30 “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.”

MAR 9:40, ”For he who is not against us is for us.”

We are going to see a tremendous correlation between the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart and the hardness of the Exodus generation.

Pharaoh hardened his heart 10 times, and the Lord did the exact same thing.
His hard heart meant stubbornness,
His hard heart meant stubbornness,
He was inflexible,
His hard heart meant stubbornness,
He was inflexible,

He was bullheaded, obstinate, tenacious.
His hard heart meant stubbornness,
He was inflexible,
He was bullheaded, obstinate, tenacious.
And yet he will never succeed.

Prin - No one ever had a greater chance for salvation than Pharaoh.

The same thing we have noted happened to Esau.
He sought salvation with tears but his heart had become too hard.
He allows Pharaoh to continue living.
Because the Lord just permitted him to stay alive.
No one ever had such an opportunity to say yes.
No one ever had such an opportunity to say yes.
No one ever had so much strength from hardness of the heart to say no.

For the very things that Pharaoh witnessed, people all over Egypt, and throughout the world also witnessed, and believed in the Lord.

1. To show the devastating effects of hardness of the heart.

2. To demonstrate his power throughout the entire world which will be the means of evangelization during the Exodus generation.

By saying no, five more times, he established a world’s record for scar tissue of the soul and hardness of the heart.

For two generations, as a result of one man’s hardness of the heart, The name of Adonai Elohenu Adonai Echard was engraved throughout the entire inhabited earth.

Moses went to Pharaoh and said let my people go,

Pharaoh said no, and so God turned the Nile river into blood, (EXO 7:20)

Then Moses came back a second time and he said “Thus saith the Lord, release My people from slavery.”

The third time, the same thing happened, and this was probably the most dangerous things in all of the human race, more epidemics have been caused by this than anything else: fleas and lice.

They saw swarms of insects upon the entire land of Egypt (EXO 8:24), and the same thing happened.

Then they saw all the livestock of Egypt die while all the livestock of Israel lived (EXO 9:6).

Let my people go.

No!

Once the plague comes

Yes!

Then when the plague is gone, he says no!

Pharaoh continued to use his own negative volition even though he saw more and more of God’s power.

When the Exodus generation of believer’s passed through the Red Sea, they saw ten times the same power of God and the same grace of God.

In all 10 plagues Pharaoh used his own volition against increasing manifestations of God’s power on the one hand, bringing in the plague or the judgment, and God’s power and grace on the other hand, in removing it.
