God's love is expressed toward His people after they have failed.
Wednesday, January 7, 2009
You will discover that some of the times when you really come to know the love God has for you are the times of failure in your life.
First is the pressure of people.
The second problem is that we put pressure on ourselves from our own self-imposed guilt and condemnation.
A third major problem = the problem of unrealistic expectations.
ROM 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
ACT 13:22 “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will.”
Your response to failure is your responsibility.
The solution to failure is grace orientation toward self.
You could never apply -
MAR 12:31 “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” -
unless you love yourself!
This is another way of being occupied with Christ.
Do not fight with them, for they will draw you into a battle you have no hope of winning.
You replace blame with claiming the grace of God.
God wipes away your faults as easily as an earthly father wipes mud off a child’s face.
This is why the worst thing you can do is to doubt God’s love toward you.
When you see how strong and how able God is, then seeing how weak and unable you are is not difficult to accept.
True, we are full of weakness and sin, but it pleases God to transform us into the image of His Son, and make us one with Himself, and He will change us into the likeness of Christ.
By progress I mean not going further up but further down.
LUK 9:48 “Whoever is least among you, this is the one who is great.”
The very heart of God, the love of God, is expressed toward His own people after they have failed not because they have not failed.
