God’s solution always starts when people recognize their hopelessness and helplessness before Him.

God’s solution always starts when people recognize their hopelessness and helplessness before Him.

God will always act beforehand to solve man’s hopelessness and helplessness, but man must recognize his need for God.

The Lord can turn cursing into blessing, but you have to be helpless before God can step in and turn cursing into blessing.

Hagar’s helplessness is the perfect circumstance for a visit from the Lord Jesus Christ.

This hopeless mess and turmoil can only be solved by TLJC, who does not help those who help themselves; He helps the helpless.

ISA 60:21 “Then all your people will be righteous; They will possess the land forever, It will be the branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.”

PSA 2:12 – as our place of refuge, the Lord gives us perfect happiness. PSA 7:1 – He is our refuge from all those who attack us and mistreat us.

PSA 11:1 – He is our refuge who causes us to face our problems, not run from them.

PSA 18:2 – He is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my stronghold.

PSA 18:30 He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. PSA 34:22 – none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

PSA 37:40 the Lord helps them, and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.

PSA 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. ZEC 2:8 for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

MAL 3:17 – you are God’s own possession or His own jewels, 1PE 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession,

JOH 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

ROM 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. ROM 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

ROM 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? ROM 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

Those advancing to spiritual maturity can have perfect happiness in any type of historical environment, 1CO 2:9, EPH 3:20, ROM 8:28.

Cursing is turned to blessing by God, and as long as we involve ourselves with the solution, God simply steps aside and as a result the whole thing is parlayed into evil.

The sin was not isolated; he did not take responsibility; he was a man with authority and did not use it; he did not free her; he did not provide for her.

HOS 8:7 For they sow the wind, And they reap the whirlwind.

TLJC comes on the scene to rescue Hagar, because when Hagar was turned over to Sarai, Abram became a complete coward and a total fool.

The importance of the woman recognizing the significance of authority, GEN 3:16; COL 3:18; 1TI 2:12; 1CO 11:7.

TLJC operates the same way today, HEB 13:8; except instead of the living word making a personal appearance, JOH 1:14, now He does so through the spoken word, 2TI 3:16-17.

1. Abram tried to run away from the problem, and as always, the Lord intervenes.

2. Hagar tried to run away from the problem, and as always, the Lord intervened. 3. Sarai tried to run away from the problem, and as always, the Lord intervened.

4. Whenever any of us try to run away from a problem, someway, somehow, the Lord will intervene, GAL 6:7.

1TI 3:4-5 He must be one who manages his own household well, but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?

1TI 3:12 – Let deacons be good managers of their children and their own households.

1TI 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
