The ninth letter of the Hebrew alphabet known as the Teth file = f = to knot together, to twist into each other- for one party to bow down before the other party.
PSA 119:65 Thou hast dealt well with Thy servantThe very first word in this file is the Hebrew noun Towb bofô = divine good.
Dealt = asah – “to manufacture something out of nothing” meaning God is working behind the scenes to turn the curse into a blessing and produce towb or divine good.
DEU 32:4 “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.”
God is perfect, and His plan is perfect and so when a believer enters into His plan everything will work together for good because of principles in the Teth file, our association with Him through humility either genuine or enforced.
Only God can do this so don’t try and take your disasters and make something wonderful out of them —only God can do that.
Towb, the Hebrew noun bofô which represents divine good.
There is what is known in the nouns as an absolute state or a construct state which changes the meanings of the nouns used in a subtle way.
When a noun is in what is known as an absolute state, the noun stands alone and points to the subject, the one that is mentioned.
When a noun is in what is known as a construct state, it means that the construction or the work to be performed to give the proper credibility to what is being mentioned.
One points to the person whereas the other points to what the person does.
One is in the absolute state and points to the individual, the other is in the construct state and points to. what the noun, or in this case, what the individual, who of course is God —– does.
PSA 119:65 Thou hast dealt well or towb it is in the absolute state and it points to Who the person is, in this case it refers to the character of God.
PSA 119:68 Thou art good [absolute state] and doest good [the verb is in the absolute state]; which means that it is saying that because God is perfect no matter what He does in your life it is absolutely perfect as well.
Before you can do good, you have to be good. The person must always come before the work.
Many believers are not prepared to work for God because of their ignorance of doctrine.
PSA 119:68 Thou art good and doest good; it means He causes absolute good to be produced in your life.
David knew about this when he said in PSA 8:4 “What is man that Thou art mindful of him?”
By affliction and adversity, God separates the sin which He hates from the soul which He loves.
God commands people and circumstances to handle you roughly if need be.
God says to the storm, shipwreck them! He says to the fire, burn them.To the friends, forsake them. To the riches, melt away.To the wind, toss them.
JOH 13:7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you shall understand hereafter.”
JOH 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,
JOH 5:23 in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
JOH 5:26 “For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;
JOH 5:27 and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.
JOH 5:30 “I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
JOH 8:15 “You people judge according to the flesh; I am not judging anyone.”
JOH 8:16 “But even if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone in it, but I and He who sent Me.”
JOH 8:15 “You people judge according to the flesh; I am not judging anyone.”
JOH 12:47 “And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.”
JOH 12:48 “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”
Astray is the Qal participle, the absolute state of the verb shagag which means to wander away from something you already have.
The first word is in the sentence, the construct noun Towb – there’s your Teth again.
He says in effect — Good discernment and knowledge teach me——please O Lord according to our relationship —- Towb.
Before he was afflicted he wandered away from God and doctrine but now through affliction he is back, why?
Many times our trials and afflictions act like thorns and a hedge to keep us on the right path.
Charles Spurgeon – “Why is it that a little ease works in much disease?, 2SA 11:1….tells us why?”
2SA 11:1 Then it happened in the spring, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel, and they destroyed the sons of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem.
ECC 5:12 The sleep of the working man is pleasant, whether he eats little or much. But the full stomach of the rich man does not allow him to sleep.
This word astray is also used for the sin of ignorance, LEV 5:18.
LEV 5:18 “He is then to bring to the priest a ram without defect from the flock, according to your valuation, for a guilt offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his error in which he sinned unintentionally and did not know it, and it shall be forgiven him.
Sinned the Hebrew verb shagag, the same word used in verse 67 for going astray which means to wander away from something you already have.
The Principle: Many times our own ignorance is our own worst enemy.
Prosperity is a greater test of character most of the time than adversity such as one hour of summer sunshine can produce more corruption than the longest winner day.
PSA 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
Knowledge refers to = something we use under normal circumstancesdiscernment = ability to think correctly while under pressure.
PSA 119:66 And when he says teach me he puts it in what is known as the Piel stem of the Hebrew verb lamadh which is known as the intensive stem and it means to teach the hard way or the intensive way.
When he says teach me, he puts the verb in what is known as the Piel stem which means that he is learning under intense situations.
Judgment taam – discernment and also it means and signifies the word – taste.

4. Believers are also cursed by association with a backslider e.g., Jonathan and Saul, who both died at the battle of Mt Giboah.
5. Believers have a tendency to associate disaster with some past sin.
