Guidelines for choosing the right Pastor-Teacher and the right local assembly, Part 2.

Does the local church stay true to all the central doctrines of the Christian faith?

The miracles God mentions for the last hours of this age are not those of true apostles but of false prophets,MAT 24:24; 2TH 2:9; REV 13:11-14.

The Bible predicts increasing spiritual fragmentation and apostasy in the last days, not unity and revival, 2TH 2:3.

The end result will be the great religious harlot in Revelation 17: a worldwide religious apostasy.

There are movements in Christianity today that are adding to the word of God: a direct contradiction to REV 22:18-19, PRO 30:5-6, DEU 4:2.

Find out exactly where the church stands in its presentation of the character and nature of God.

Some over-emphasize the love of God and do away with His justice.

Some over-emphasize the sovereignty of God and do away with His justice and the free will of man.

PRO 11:1A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.”

Does the pastor equip himself with preparation before God in study? 2TI 2:15, COL 1:10, PHI 1:9-10,20-21,EPH 3:16-19.

Does the pastor preach the whole counsel of God?

Does he preach the Word in season and out of season, 2TI 4:2?

Does he reprove, rebuke, exhort with all divine, delegated, legitimate authority, 2TI 4:2?

Does he communicate doctrine with authority?

You cannot live beyond the content of what you think.

You cannot receive if you are never in a position to hear the Word of God.

They are responsible for “what” they hear and “how” they hear, MAR 4:24; LUK 8:18.

1CO 10:1For I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren,
Job 35, Elihu said that Job and his three friends were ignorant and did not understand the light, but ignorance is no excuse.

In the music ministry, singers and singing groups should not be singing in church services unless they are taught properly.
