Hosea can you see the doctrine of idolatry. Part 2.

They had even developed scar tissue of the soul which always precedes the function of idolatry. Scar tissue of the soul is also related to demon oppression and demon possession.
In fact, the Bible also teaches that demonism and demon possession is caused by idolatry in ZEC 10:2 and that idolatry is called the devil’s communion table, 1CO 10:19-21.
In ZEC 10:2 For the teraphim speak iniquity, And the diviners see lying visions, And tell false dreams; They comfort in vain. Therefore {the people} wander like sheep, They are afflicted, because there is no shepherd.
teraphiym (ter-aw-feme’); an idol, object of reverence, and means of divination (* and etymology-meaning dubious), in size and shape it looks like a man 1SA 19:13,16;) 1CO 10:19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
1CO 10:20-21, No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
Now, because idolatry is related to both scar tissue of the soul and emotional revolt of the soul, it produces psychotic and neurotic conditions, JER 50:38.
JER 50:38 “A drought is upon her waters, and they will be dried up! for it is a land of idols, and they are mad over fearsome idols.
The word mad is halal which means to act insane, to live in arrogance.
Dr. William Gesenius says on page 226 that this word which is in the hithpoel stem means to be mad and to be foolish.

The theological wordbook of the Old Testament by Harris, Archer and Waltke says in Vol 1, page 219 that this word halal, translated mad, means the irrational aspect of insanity.
They said that halal is the opposite of the antonym of chokmah, which of course means doctrine.
I’m quoting – “Most instances exhibit an application to irrational thought processes.”

Idolatry also motivates the whole realm of sexual sins in the phallic cult, EZE 22:3-18; EZE 23:37-49.
In JER 9:14, “But they have walked after the stubbornness of their heart [the scar tissue of their hearts] and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.
The phallic cult came from the Phoenicians. The phallic cult includes immorality of all kinds, such as incest, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, LEV 18:3-25;
Demonism, LEV 20:6; human sacrifice, LEV 20:1-5;
Rejection of authority, LEV 20:9; and social degeneracy, LEV 20:10-23.
God the Father is counterfeited by the god El. The son is counterfeited by Baal.
Baal has a struggle once a year with Mot, the god of death, and he dies (the counterfeit of the cross). Baal had a wife-sister, Anoth, who finds his body and brings it back to life (the counterfeit of the resurrection). She is the goddess of sex, murder, warfare, and love. In Phoenician she is Ashtarti;
In Latin she is Venus.
