Human solutions are no solutions. Divine solutions are the only solutions.

Awareness of her pregnancy produces arrogance.

His life is going to be hell on earth for 13 years because he is caught in a cross-fire between a jealous woman [Sarai] and an arrogant woman [Hagar].

qal imperfect – nathan = she kept on giving her maid to Abram to fornicate with.

He did have a mistress, 1CH 1:32, but he did not marry her until after Sarah died.

Abram actually had 8 sons; 7 of them would be the beginning of Arab nations, and 1 would be the beginning of a new race, Israel, the Jews.

Sarai was the `eeshet – the wife of Abram, GEN 11:29.

“Sarai gave to her Husband Abram, Hagar, to be his ishshah.”

The problem is trying to use human solutions to solve your problems rather than divine solutions.

Satan is a liar and a deceiver, he promotes human viewpoint as the solutions to our problems in life, JOH 8:44.

Many believers compromise any character and integrity, to solve their problems with human viewpoint and human solutions.

1. Sinful solutions just intensify the problem rather than solving the problem.

2. This fornication is going to complicate Abram’s life for many years.

3. Even though Sarah approved and sponsored the fornication, it didn’t make it right.

4. The greatest protection a man can offer a woman is a commitment and faithfulness to that woman.

5. Just because a woman has an occasional lapse into imbecility, that does not excuse the man from protecting his loving imbecilic spouse.

6. Sex was not designed for problem solving, it was designed for right man and right woman to enjoy recreation.

7. Sex does not solve the problems of life. Sex is a blessing from God and blessings from God are not problem solvers.

Sarai was emotional about the problem, but her emotional solution is related to ignorance.

Abram listened to the voice of Sarai, GEN 16:2.

Human solutions are no solutions. Divine solutions are the only solutions.

Good sincere motives do not justify wrong actions.

She wanted to make sacrifices to solve the problem, and provide an heir for him, just so he would have a son and it would make him happy.

She is doing something that she knows is wrong, but she’s doing it anyway because she loves her man.

Self-sacrifice linked with her emotionalism and impulsiveness, and an obvious desire to please help her husband.

A woman should never feel that she has to compromise her godly convictions to please the man she loves.

Hagar was never his wife, and Abram was not a polygamist.

Altruism minus doctrine is a great menace to society.

1CO 2:9 things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.

EPH 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Human viewpoint cannot solve the problems of life.

The means does not justify the end nor does the end justify the means.

God’s end is an heir. The means is going to be God opening up the womb of Sarai, not the womb of Hagar.

She ignored God’s omnipotence and the fact that He has the power to open her womb as well as to close her womb.

God is waiting for His children to develop capacity to go with the fantastic blessings He has promised, and she’s not ready.

By the act of omnipotence the power of God closed it, by the same act of omnipotence, God can open her womb.

MAT 19:26 “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

MAR 9:23 “All things are possible to him who believes.”

LUK 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

LUK 18:27 “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”
