Iconoclastic arrogance becomes disenchantment.

Wednesday, December 5, 2007

Arrogance is always destructive and in relationship to self the destruction is phenomenal.

The arrogance of criticism or iconoclastic arrogance, with all the problems related to self and others, and how it merely complicates one’s life.

Trust - batach = to trust, to be confident, to be secure in, put confidence in, to hope in.

PSA 62:9 Men of low degree are only vanity, and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.

PSA 118:8-9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes.

ISA 2:22 Stop regarding man, whose breath {of life} is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

Preoccupation with others, especially a pastor, is disastrous.
Preoccupation with others is disastrous.
It is the disillusion with regard to people with whom you have contact.

Usually it is excessive admiration for someone whom you place on a pedestal.

Arrogance then becomes disenchantment!

Becoming disenchanted they seek to destroy the idol that they have themselves created.

JAM 1:8 - being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

All humans possess an old sin nature; however the arrogance of admiration seems to forget this and once the O.S.N. shows in some way, the arrogant person is offended and wounded.

There is no loyalty, no love, no faithfulness, no humility in the arrogant believer.

The arrogant believer involved in iconoclastic arrogance takes an ordinary person and from illusions of one sort or another, romantic illusions or illusions of self-importance, sexual illusions, or power lust illusions, all are destroyed by reality and then the arrogant person in his or her subjectivity attacks!

When you truly love someone in a state of humility and have a lot of doctrine, you love people with their faults!

Patience is simply poise and self-control.

When someone tries to provoke you or stimulate you into ungodly responses - patience gives stability, quietness, and rest under pressure!

Impersonal unconditional love will cause you to give up resentment, excuse a guilty party, release others from payment, forget an offense, never bringing it up again, not even to discuss it!

It keeps all things confidential.

When you lack virtue, or you lack character, you repeat things and you do not operate in impersonal unconditional love.

Impersonal unconditional love is the ability to cover and overlook the faults of others
