The Importance Of The Third Witness In The Angelic Conflict: The Christian Marriage.
The Jews were told that whenever there was an accusation being made, there had to be two or in some cases three witnesses to validate or to confirm that the accusation was true.
The witnesses had to be eye-witnesses of the accusation or accusations who saw that which the individual is being charged with.
The Three Witnesses
- The Faithful witness = the Lord Jesus Christ, Rev 1:4-6.
- Faithful witness of the believer; Act 1:8.
- Christian Marriage = Eph 5:31-32.
The Second Witness is the Church-age believer who is a witness as a faithful believer, Act 1:8; 2Co 5:20.
Act 1:8 but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
Martus means that the individual who is a witness or martyr is someone who is willing to give their life for that which they believe.
To be a winner believer, you must do things God’s way not man’s way and you must think as God thinks about things.
The third witness in the Angelic Conflict is Christian marriage where two believers, male and female, both become winner believers and glorify the Lord together as such.
Marriage not only requires spiritual growth, but it is the one institution that restores what the original marriage was created for, which was not for procreation but for recreation and fellowship.
One of the best secrets that the mature believers have is learning how to use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you.
The suffering, especially of the adult spiritual believer, is found with blessings even if the suffering was deserved or not!
Under undeserved sufferings, blessings are given to us because of who God is and not who we are, especially when we realize that whether or not the suffering is deserved or undeserved, we are still under grace.
LUK 2:40 And the Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.
If you do that, you’re in control of your life.
If you don’t, life controls you.
The only time we have problems is when we think we’re not supposed to have problems or that we need to get use to handling the problems ourselves instead of relying upon the Lord.
Problems call us to a higher level of living the spiritual life, and face and solve the spiritual life now, while we can.
Prin: All of our failures and frustrations were actually laying the foundation for the new understandings that they have created for us to live in the truth that sets us free.
I have learned, not through the coronavirus, but in my heart that we all need to be reminded of the fact that we usually need to improve some major doctrinal applications to overcome our problems.
When I want something or desire something, or need something, I seem to try everything except the most important thing, which is my prayer life with God.
If the Lord promises something, He will fulfill His promises or His word.
MAT 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.
MAT 21:22 “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.”
What use is it asking, if you are truly not believing passages like MAR 11:24-26.
May I remind you that times have changed but people have not.
The Hellenistic Jews had seniority over the native Hebrews and just like the flesh operates in favoritism of their own, they also played favoritism and a respecter of persons.
Brethren is the Greek noun masculine plural of adelphos meaning a male believer.
The word “men” is a Greek noun masculine plural of aner referring to a male believer.
We are weak when it comes to prayer that God provide a two-fold ministry for us concerning prayer.
ROM 8:26 And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for {us} with groanings too deep for words;
HEB 7:25 Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
EPH 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
EPH 6:19 and {pray} on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
COL 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with {an attitude of} thanksgiving;
COL 4:3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;
Lack of the husband’s godly treatment towards his wife hinders their prayer life says the Apostle Peter taught in 1PE 3:7.
1PE 3:7 You husbands likewise, live with {your wives} in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
I don’t have certain prayers and certain needs met because I try everything except to ask – that is “ask God in prayer.”
JAM 4:2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
The problem for many of us is that we feel funny or ashamed for even asking for something, especially when you have people in your life who make you feel like that.
That means that they have the finances to do so — before the Lord how untrue that statement is —- because the ones that are the most gracious are usually the same ones who have personal needs themselves.
The difference is that they realize the importance of the graciousness of God.
We go back to some of the principles that are found doctrinally in the Old Testament that we have all learned in the past many years ago.
Here’s an easy equation for us to learn: Patience + Persistence + Pleasure = get yourself back on the road to prosperity.
An attack on our President, not because he has not failed but because the FAKE NEWS has been attacking our president ever since the first debate.
China will continue to do what it specializes in and that is lying, stealing, cheating.
ISA 3:9 “even the expression of their faces bears witness against them. And they display their sin like Sodom; hey do not even conceal it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.”
The media will remain promoting evil; ISA 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Arrogance will continue to elevate the pride of man as they says in ISA 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And clever in their own sight!
A loose lifestyle will be portrayed like ISA 5:22 Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, And valiant men in mixing strong drink;
Internationalism and not patriotism will also be bought; ISA 5:23 “They will justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!”
There will be dogeatdog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God.
“Do you believe in 2Ti 3:16 which says, “All Scripture is inspired by God?”
Do you also believe ACT 10:34 “that God is not one to show partiality?”
What God does for one, He will do for others providing they do not get consumed by the prosperity and God has certain laws and principles that we are to follow concerning giving, money, or finances.
God created all the wealth on this earth, HAG 2:8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts.
PSA 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.
PSA 50:10 “For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.
If He was willing to give us His only Son, why would He hold anything else back from us?
He has already given us His best, does it make any sense to believe that He would refuse to give us the rest?
ROM 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
PSA 84:11 No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
2CO 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
MAT 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened.”
If we can’t believe God’s promises in the area of our finances, how can we be sure that we can believe His promises for eternal salvation and everything else we claim to believe?
MAT 5:41 “And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two.”, the Lord is telling us that we should do twice as much as we are required to do.
PRO 20:4 The sluggard does not plow after the autumn [that’s because it’s too cold], So he begs during the harvest and has nothing.
We should put everything we have into it because we really are working for Jesus Christ, not whomever our worldly employer might happen to be, Col 3:23.
Our job is to do the very best we can with the human abilities that God has given us and then to trust in Him for the rest.
When we put in a good solid day’s work, we get a sense of inner satisfaction.
ECC 5:12 The sleep of the working man is pleasant, whether he eats little or much.
PSA 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it.
JOH 8:31-32, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
The one primary thing that stops Christians from realizing the freedom that is theirs in Christ is lack of consistency.
We will only do what God’s Word tells us to do if we get into His “perfect law of liberty”, the law that sets us free, if we continually study and meditate on these laws.
1Ti 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. (KJV)
It’s interesting the word translated Meditate in the KJV comes from the Greek word meletao which means to revolve in the mind, to meditate, to attend to carefully, used by the Greeks for STUDY.
