MAT 16:1-3, And the Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Him asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. But He answered and said to them, "When it is evening, you say, ' It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.' And in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?"
In application, LUK 12:56, H said "You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time?"

ROM 13:11, And this do [or live like this emphasizing virtue-love; why?], notice what he says next; knowing the time, that it is already
Then with the verb again [knowing] the hour for you to awaken from sleep [your spiritual sleep]; for now our salvation or our delieverance is nearer to us than when we believed.
In other words, always live as though He is coming back!
And always remember what the apostle Peter said in 2PE 3:3-4; Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts,
2PE 3:4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."
REV 3:2 says, (still as a part of our introduction), 'Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds or your works, [that is divine good] completed in the sight of My God.
Now, the word dead is the Greek adjective nekros in the plural which means "arise from the deaths" or the other dead believers, spiritually speaking;
EPH 5:14 means that the Lord will shine on you or give you light and discernment.
Unwise is the Greek adjective asophos, sophos means wisdom and with negative "a" it means not wise thinking individuals, again spiritually speaking.
"but [instead] walk as wise" - the Greek adjective sophos means as godly thinking individuals, spiritually speaking.
"foolish" is the adjective aphron meaning do not be an ignorant fool, or a non-thinking individual, again, spiritually speaking.
Notice it doesn't say "do not drink wine" but is says do not get drunk with wine.
Because in PSA 104:15 Wine makes man's heart glad or filled with happiness,
And as Solomon said ECC 2:3 I explored with my mind how to stimulate my body with wine while my mind was guiding me wisely,
For most believers, there's nothing wrong drinking wine as long as they remember 1CO 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
As well as ROM 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
In other words, wine can influence your mental faculties, and so Paul goes on to say literally "but rather be filled or under the influence or control of the Spirit.
This commandment in the original language of the Greek means that you are commanded to do this, you must do something...., and what is you must do? You must make a decision.
The very fact that you are commanded to be filled with the Spirit means that you must do something to fulfill the command - meaning you are not always filled with the Spirit.
Think about it, why would God give you a command to do something unless you have not been doing it?
1. Acknowledge or confess your sins (1JO 1:9).
2.. "Judge yourself" (1CO 11:31).
3. "Grieve not the Spirit" (EPH 4:30).
4. Quench not the Spirit" (1TH 5:19).
5. "lay aside the old man" (EPH 4:22)
6. "put on the new man, (EPH 4:24)

All these organizations are basically controlled by 2CO 4:4, JOH 16:12, EPH 2:2, ISA 14:12-14.
Is it any wonder why we read in 1JO 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
When we studied the original languageof 1TI 5:17, we noted the corrected translation of 1TI 5:17 which says Those pastor-teachers who have ruled well with the result that they keep on ruling honorably, they must be considered worthy of double honor,
most of all those who work hard to the point of EXHAUSTION in the study of the word and the teaching of doctrine.
1. The reason WHY we have prophecy. 2. WHERE the prophecies are that God predicted in the Old Testament. 3. HOW He predicted them and HOW they were fulfilled. 4. The ROLE of prophecy and the illustrations God gives us to see the accuracy and preciseness of His prophecies.
First of all, the first question: WHY God predicted them.
1CO 1:22 which says For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom;
ISA 7:14, where we read "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Oour Lord even said to His people in JOH 4:48 "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe."
ACT 2:22, "Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know‑‑
JOH 20:30, Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
We are headed toward a biblical prophecy which states precisely, the exact day and year when TLJC would come into Jerusalem to present himself as their King at the First Advent.
We are going to see that the prophecy was given on March 14 of the year 445 B.C. and then we are told that in 173,880 days from the day the prophecy was given, TLJC would fulfill it, perfectly and precisely.
There are believers who I know of right now, who do not realize why it is that Peter, Paul and even other men of God, have been trying to tell you why it is so important to learn about prophecy.
ROM 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
1CO 10:6 Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved.
1PE 3:15 we are to sanctify Christ [which means to set apart His thinking or His mind] as Lord in our hearts, [then the reason is given] always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
2.To allow those who are miles away and not face-to-face, to experience being a little more closer to us and also us to them.
3. A third reason why we have a Q and A ministry is to promote unity in the body of Christ so that we may be more in touch with each other and what others may be going through.
4. to protect me as well as you from arrogance and to realize that we should thankful for each other.
GAL 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.
GAL 6:9-10, Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
Some believers are simply so self-centered that they do not live in what the apostle Paul said in PHI 2:3-5; Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself;
PHI 2:4-5; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.PHI 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
It's one thing not to want to participate in a ministry that is dedicated for the unity of the brethren, if you have a legitimate reason, but it is another when you mock and ridicule those who do.
GAL 4:16 Have I therefore become your enemy by telling you the truth?
For as the Word of God says; JOH 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
I feel sorry for and even pity those who miss out on what David said in PSA 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!
Solomon said in ECC 4:9-12; Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
ECC 4:11-12, Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
2. Next, let us note WHERE the prophecies are that God predicted in the Old Testament.
We have noted many times passages in the N.T., such as EPH 3:1-6; COL 1:25-27; ROM 16:25-26, which all make it crystal clear that the church was a mystery and was not known in the O.T.
EPH 3:3-4, Paul says that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. And by referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
EPH 3:5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;
COL 1:25-27, Of this church [CA] I was made a minister according to the dispensation from God bestowed on me for your benefit, that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,
COL 1:26-27, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
ROM 16:25-26, Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past,
ROM 16:26 but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith;
REV 3:10 calls it "that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth."
JER 30:7 says 'says Alas! For that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob's distress, But he will be saved from it."
Jacob represents Israel, remember that Jacob's name was changed to Israel in GEN 32:28.
if we had time to compare scripture you would see that the individual described as "a man" was literally TLJC in a Theophany form.
How do we know that this was God or TLJC, we know that because the Bible sayswho is the only visible member of the Trinity, according to JOH 1:18; JOH 6:46; 1TI 6:16?
1. Because the man or the individual had the authority to bless Jacob, verse 29. 2. Because Jacob said I have seen God face to face, again JOH 1:18; 6:46; 1TI 6:16.
So, Jacob represents Israel and as the prophet Jeremiah said JER 30:7 'Alas! for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob's distress, But he [Jacob or Israel, that is tre Israel] will be saved from it."
