Isaac and your spiritual gift.

Sunday, March 22, 2009

When God the Holy Spirit covers a man’s life in a passage like Heb 11 in one sentence like this, there’s got to be a lot in the sentence.

There are some individuals who think that if the truth is not right out on the surface than it’s not for us to know.

MAT 13:10-11 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” And He answered and said to them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.”

PRO 23:23 Buy truth, and do not sell it [don’t sell out on it like so many have], buy wisdom and instruction and understanding.

HEB 11:6 And without doctrine resident in the soul it is impossible to please Him, for he who is occupied with the God must be convinced by that resident doctrine that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.

The pure milk of the word means the unadulterated, unpolluted, unspotted, untainted teaching of the word of God.

MAT 18:3 Unless you are converted and become like little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

1CO 14:20 Brethren, do not be children in your thinking, in evil be babes, but in your thinking be mature.

There is a desire for Bible doctrine or the word of God placed in the believer’s life; however, every believer does not have this desire fulfilled.

HEB 11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come.

Being faithful in a little thing is just as important as being faithful in a big thing.

The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts.
Point 1. The Source of Spiritual Gifts is a Fascinating Subject Because it Involves All Three Members of the Trinity.

a. God the Father as the source, HEB 2:4.

Witness - pres-act-part -sunepimartureo = to attest together with, to join in bearing witness, to unite in adding testimony.

ACT 1:8 but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.
